My favorite workshop was the Baruch Voices. It was interesting hearing other people’s monologues because it told kind of connected us all in a way. I liked how we were able to hear people’s thoughts, stories, feelings, etc. Even though all I was stressing about registering for my classes, I enjoyed the monologues. It was nice knowing that I’m not the only one going through the difficult early mornings and workload.

First Three Months (Christine Shin)
This would probably describes my first three months at Baruch. I’m the type of person who needs ridiculous amount of sleep. And on top of that, I’m not a morning person. So when I had my 8 o’clock classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, I was not happy getting out of my warm bed at 6 o’clock in the freezing cold weather. Then came my morning commutes. If I was lucky, I was able get a seat on the train and try to nap, but sometimes I had to stand and suffer the whole ride. This was not something I was used to. In high school, I would always get dropped off and it would only take me 5 minutes instead of an hour (if everything is going my way). So I find my eyes becoming heavy, just like Boo whenever I’m in class.
Registration Day (Christine Shin)
I’ve been somewhat stressing about which classes I should take, but last Tuesdays class helped me understand which classes and how many classes I needed to take to get into the business school. So I’ve been online looking at the classes available to me, creating a mock schedule, etc. And it’ s been easy so far, but the only annoying thing is finding a good professor with a good time. Hopefully everything will work out.
Career Goals (Christine Shin)
I don’t know exactly what I want to do in the future, but my main concern or goal would definitely be to be happy. Of course I want to be successful and make tons of money but I’m okay with living somewhat comfortably and being happy. I see myself with a family someday, great husband, three kids? I’d be very happy with that.
Email to Professor (Christine Shin)
Hello Professor Reich,
I was unable to attend class today because I was not feeling well. I have a note from the doctor explaining the situation. I understand that I missed the midterm exam and I was hoping I could make up it up. I’m sorry for the inconvenience.

Time Management (Christine Shin)
Let’s be honest, who doesn’t struggle with time management? I’m the type of person who likes to get as much sleep I can, I love to hang out, and do nothing for hours in front of the television. I even have time management problems in the morning because of my lengthy showers. It’s the hardest thing in the world to leave the hot showers in the cold mornings, especially now with the weather getting cold. I hate procrastinating, and that’s one of the things I really want to change about myself. I want to get into the habit of making a schedule and really sticking to it.

Thoughts About Blogging (Christine Shin)
I personally do not like blogging. I’m more of a private person; I don’t like the idea that my thoughts, feelings, and dreams are online for everyone to see. But I do enjoy reading blogs. I feel like through the blogging assignments, I got to know my classmates better. I don’t really follow blogs… But I occasionally check out http://www.polyvore.com/ for fashion inspiration.

My name is Christine and I have an older sister and brother and wonderful parents whom I love. My church is like my second home, and the people there are my second family, I love and care for each and every one of them. One of my favorite qualities about my friends is that we can be completely comfortable with each other. We’re not embarrassed in front of each other but instead we embrace each other’s quirks and flaws. And although I love my weekends and vacations, I still get a thrill from going into class and learning about interesting things. If I’m sad and someone hands me a plate of food, my worries go away. I feel as if when I eat, it’s just me and the food I’m about to devour. I cannot pass up an opportunity to shop, that’s it. The feeling I get from being in a new country gives me a nervous but exciting feeling that is addicting. I love TV shows: Lost, How I Met Your Mother, The Office, Suits, The Newsroom, etc. Whenever I’m on my laptop, I’m most likely watching one of my shows. I think these pictures describe a lot about who I am. I’m the type of person who has pride and boasts about her family. I’m the type of person who finds joy in serving at church. I’m the type of person who loves to be silly with her friends. I’m the type of person that who hopes to graduate once or twice more. I’m the type of person who will get happy at the sight of food (The picture taken was at BJ’s and my friend captioned it as “Christine in her natural habitat.”). I’m the type of person who has a passion for shopping (despite my face expression in the picture.) I’m the type of person who one day hopes to travel all over the world. I’m the type of person who obsesses over TV shows. This is who I am.
Perfect Class (Christine Shin)
I think my perfect class would be a class where I actually utilize the material we learn in our everyday lives. I don’t understand why I need to know about chemical bonds and such. Also my perfect class would have a teacher that not only enjoys teaching but also a teacher that can actually teach well. Oh also, a class that doesn’t require a lot of work.
