Reveal and Discuss (Lance Zar)

I think my favorite workshop was going to that museum. I surprisingly never been to a real museum before so it was a new experience. I got to see many new, different, and valuable things that held alot of meaning. As a wandered aimlessly around that museum, thinking to myself what i should go eat when i leave, i was deeply intrigued with almost everything i saw in there. It was really cool and i might even go again just for kicks. This museum experience inspired me to actually go and visit more museums. i want to see different museums in new york in order to expand my knowledge and see new things. I find museums very interesting and after going to the one in the workshop, i want to continue exploring and observing museums throughout New York City.

Baruch Experience (Lance Zar)

Throughout my first few months in Baruch, many surprises have come my way. Good surprises and bad surprises. Thankfully, many of my classes were not as hard as i thought. Besides math, i am having an easy time with class. I heard math was going to be very hard so i was not so surprised about that. Living in the city makes going to baruch a much better experience and i appreciate it more. The picture below illustrates my baruch experience because it shows the element of surprise. I have been surprised by the easiness and the fun that i am having. Hopefully i can keep up the good work and continue to have a good time and make some friends in the process.

Registration – Lance Zar

Meeting with an advisor helped me significantly with many different things. I felt at home with the advisor as he taught me numerous things that i did not know. The schedule process looks easy now that i learned what i needed to learn. Hopefully i can continue to meet with these people throughout my years in Baruch to help make it an easier and smoother college experience.

Career Goals – Lance Zar

Throughout my life, i have thought alot of what i want to do with myself past school. I always look into the future, making up different creative plans and ideas on how to pursue my life. I have a very exact and complex view for my future, so i will try to give a brief summary for this blog. When i turn 21, i want to be on the reality TV show Big Brother. I love the show and i think it is perfect for me. The skills required to be successful on this show are skills that i know i possess. After to show, i hope to be a little more well known. Obviously not an A-lister, but more than i am today. After college, i hope to start working for my father and get used to the real working world. From that point i just have to follow my heart and see where the world takes me. Hopefully it will all work out. Much love.

Time Management – Lance Zar

This is supposed to be a time management blog…right? So why am i posting this after its due? Do i know anything about time management at all? Do i know anything at all? Am i stupid? The answer to all those questions is no. Im amazing. And i have my reasons. This is late because of the damn hurricane. I have no frickin internet and its very hard for me to do my work. I will hopefully get power back asap. Damn Sandy Cheeks. Anyways, time management is very important if you want to do this efficiently. I hate it when people make lists and write schedules of things they need to do. Although it may be handy, it feels too restraining to me. I like to train my mind by making myself remember by myself. It usually works out, im getting better and better at it as the years go by. But, even for a kid who likes to procrastinate like me, time management is crucial in every day life. Whether its homework or social life or even work, time management is very important. When i make plans with my friends to go out on Saturday nights, time management plays a huge role. I have to coordinate where and when we should go certain places. I need to figure out how long we should be at one place and when we should leave in order to have the best night possible. So even know people think time management is not for them, everyone does it every day without even noticing. Without time management, everything would be a mess.

Monologue (Lance Zar)

Another day, another monologue. Thats not a quote from this year, thats what i would say almost every single day throughout senior year. Monologues arent too new to me. I have probably written about 50-100. All of different shapes and sizes. Different tasks. Different tones. Even as a different person. Why did i do this you may ask? Well, what i am about to tell you is one of the greatest experiences i have ever had a pleasure and opportunity to take. Its called, STAGES.

Senior year i decided to take a class called STAGES. STAGES is a class that only the “nerdier” or “artsy” people would take in my high school. It was known throughout the school as the unnecessary hard class that was offered senior year. Nobody would really want to take it because people would want to slouch and do nothing senior year, but everyone new that STAGES was alot of work. Personally, i love a challenge. I love to experience new things and have fun with life. I hate being boring and doing the same stuff every day. I like adventure. So i decided to take a chance and take STAGES. Once i signed up, everyone questioned me saying “WHAT THE HELL LANCE WHY WOULD YOU TAKE THAT! THATS NOT FOR YOU ITS FOR THE ARTSY PLAY PEOPLE!!”. I answered, “Hey, why not”. Il be honest, at first i was very worried, i would always ask myself what the hell i just got myself into. I even contemplated dropping out last second because of fear. But me being Lance, i toughed it out and i took the class.
Now lets talk about what STAGES actually is. Throughout the year you learn about theatre, plays, and things like aristotle. The teachers would like to challenge your mind to the fullest. We once had to write a full essay about what a “chair” is. It sounds so simple, but trust me, its not. We would always write monologues in all different types of ways to express ourselves, be comfortable, and enhance our speaking skills. I found myself at one with the class. I was kind of an outcast because these werent my people throughout highschool. But as the days went by people grew on me and i grew on people, and i made alot of amazing friends that i i unfortunately never knew before.
Starting second semester, the class shifts to a new direction(not the band). We stop all work and we as a class write a original musical to perform in front of the whole school at the end of the year. We do this all by ourselves. We write a 2 hour script, music, choreography, everything. It was AMAZING! The best part is that when casting came around, I GOT THE LEAD!! I was never in a play in my life! I got the lead over all these people who have been in plays for years. It meant so much for me and thankfully i killed it up there and had a blast. After the play everyone was jealous because they saw i got to experience something that they will never. STAGES was an amazing experience….if only i can go back, but i cant. Its just time to look into the future and see what adventure is next.

Blogging (Lance Zar) REPOST

have a few opinions about the blogging experience that i went through so far in FRO. In general, i really like blogging. I dont have a real blog or anything, but when i get an assignment that requires me to blog, i usually have a blast with it. I like it because it lets me release everything that is on my mind. I figure out alot about myself through blogging and give other people the chance to learn about me. I really like the blogging experience. There is not much that i dont like about it. I generally have a good time when we are required to write a blog and i look foward to it all the time. It definitely beats regular homework. I get to be myself when i blog and i find it amazing. There is nothing that i dont really like about the blogging experience, it has been great. The only blog i follow is my friends older brothers blog because its pretty funny and it has alot to do with people i know and the town i came from. I dont think i should really share a link of his blog, its somewhat secret. Thats all i have to say for this time. LANCE OUT.

Who Am I (Lance Zar)

Song Playlist: NO SPECIFIC ORDER

1) Are You Gonna Be my Girl – Jet
2) Drops of Jupiter – Train
3) Rocketeer – Far East Movement
4) I’m Not Afraid – Eminem
5) Boyfriend- Justin Bieber
6) Cascade – Tommy Trash
7) Titanium- Sia
8) Eye of the Tiger- Survivor
9) Give You Hell- All American Rejects
10) Moves like Jagger- Maroon 5

I put a lot of thought into this song playlist for it to create an accurate portrayal of who I really am. I wouldn’t necessarily call these songs my favorite songs, but they are songs that I feel I connect with the most in certain situations. Throughout this blog I am going to explain why each of these songs mean something to me and relate to me. Some of these songs may be silly, I know. Not really songs that a true man would listen to. But that is part of who I am. I don’t really care what other people think and I have my own special taste in music. So for all you haters out there, get out now. Im warning you. If you cant stand the heat, get out of Lances kitchen. So first is the song Are You gonna be my Girl, by Jet. I have loved this song for years. It never gets old to me and it may be one of my favorite songs ever. I love the up tempo beat and the lyrics are awesome. Whenever I am trying to spit some game on a girl. I listen to this song for motivation. Next is the song Drops of Jupiter, by Train. This song is slow, soft, and heart-warming. I have a sensitive side. I don’t always show it, but I do. I love this song because it brings that side out of me. Next is Rocketeer by Far East Movement. This song is great. Simply. I was listening to this song so I decided to just throw it in the playlist. Next is the song Im not Afraid by Eminem. I chose this song because of the title. I am not afraid of anything. Nothing. Being afraid is for the weak and it is unnecessary. Next is the song Boyfriend by Justin Beiber. Justin Beiber is the man don’t mess with him. Casecade and Titanium are two songs that I love listening to at parties and I love dancing to both of them. I love dancing and having a good time. Eye of the Tiger is the song I like listening to when I work out. Gives You Hell is a good song to listen to when I want to kick someones A$$. Hahaha. Moves like Jagger is a sexy song and people say I look like Adam Levine so I like it. I hope this song list got everyone to get a better picture of me. This came from the heart. Lance OUT!!!
