Michael Sheridan- Email to a Professor

Dear Professor Hinds,

I was unable to attend class today Tuesday November 6th due to a sudden illness. I went to the doctor and he diagnosed it as a severe case of the flu and advised bed rest. I will however be able to attend class this Thursday the 8th and hope to make up the midterm. I will bring the doctor’s note as well as any other pieces of documentation you might need. I appreciate your understanding.

Thank you,

Michael Sheridan

Dear Professor,

Upon receiving my semester grades, I realized that you have given me a B- in the class. I have thought it over many times and checked my own personal records and I strongly believe I deserve an A. My test and quiz grades have always been above the 90 mark and I have always handed in the homework. If I may, I would like to schedule an appointment with you discussing this matter. I must say this has to be an error and I hope this can be resolved. Please let me know as soon as possible and thank you for your time.

Dear Professor Cohen,

Upon receiving my grades I see that you gave me a grade of B- when according to my records I believe I should have an A. I’ve checked the syllabus numerous times to make sure I was not mistaken and I still believe my grade should be higher. If I could make an appointment to meet with you to discuss my grade I have all of my papers and exams to support my belief about my grade. If you could get back to me as soon as possible it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You,

Justin Musumarra

Time Management- Tiffany Mazza

I will admit that I do procrastinate a lot , but I feel that even though I do this, I am able to manage my time well. Going from high school to college, the type of work you do changes, and I think the change helped me to better manage my time. Although I still sometimes put things off for last minute, I am able to start projects and assignments a week in advance now because I have a better view of time management. Even though sometimes I feel that I work better when I put things off until the last minute, managing my time and starting a week earlier does have its benefits. I feel that now when I start my assignments earlier than their due date, I have more time to fix mistakes and add anything I need with enough time and I know I’m not being pressured by the time limit of a few hours before it’s due

Time Management – David Aptekar

I am so happy I was able to received a lesson on time management, it really opened up my eyes to what I need to do first and what I should not put off. Ever since then I have managed my time so well and been able to fit everything into my schedule with time to spare to do whatever I want. Hopefully I can keep this up for the rest of the semester and for the rest of my school life, possibly even my life.

Time Management- Michael Jemal

As you can see by the lateness of this post i am not very well at managing my time. Handing in reports on time has always been a difficulty for me. I am just a big procrastinator, I didn’t even realize this blog was due until today. I wish to get rid of my procrastination habits and become a better time manager through college. I am sure becoming a better time manager will help me later on in life.

Time Management – Howard Tseng

I feel like I have very good time management skills but I just lack the motivation to actually carry out the tasks in a timely manner. I tend to put things off until the last minute or until the moment where I need to force myself to complete the task because there is no more time. Although I always wait until the last minute, I usually (most of the time) do what is necessary to finish whatever it is I’m doing on time. However, the process of rushing myself may have degraded the quality of my work. I continue to mentally set schedules for myself and practice my time managing skills.
