Every morning waking up for class because i didn’t receive my mandatory 16 hours of sleep. A bit ironic since I chose early morning classes next semester.
The past three months have been different than I expected. I expected college to be a hell hole, since Baruch was probably one of the last colleges I wanted to attend. I wanted to dorm, and experience the whole “true college experience” but as you can see that didn’t go as planned for various reasons. Although I hated the idea of going to Baruch at the beginning, I’m starting to warm up the idea. The school isn’t the worst, even though I feel like I haven’t experienced the college experience.
So far I’ve met many great people, who are fun to be around. I have also met some not so great people, who aren’t the best to be around. But sometimes it’s fun to crack a joke or two at them. The great company I’ve been around have made my experience at Baruch a memorable one, and play a crucial role to my acceptance of Baruch.
Although Baruch doesn’t really have a campus, and I don’t buy into the whole “the city if your campus” junk, I’m surprised with the school’s student life. Though I haven’t had a chance to actually participate in anything yet, I know when I do I won’t be let down.
All in all, my experience at Baruch has exceeded my very low expectations which I am very surprised by. Maybe Baruch won’t be that bad at all, and I won’t transfer out. But then again, I wouldn’t mind leaving it either.
