Enrichment workshops
Throughout the first semester at baruch I’ve been to three enrichment workshops. I found the workshop that best helped me or entertained me was when there was a performance done by NYU students. They acted out impressivelywhat college was going be like. They showed that nothing in impossible eventhough you are in college. I found that the workshop on not speaking up for yourself was useless. I believe that it was commen knowledge and that their tactics to solving their problems was incorrect. I dont think that saying something is as effective as taking action or both. You have to have both in order to solve whatever problems you may have.

first semester at baruch
The first semester here at baruch was exhausting. There were so many tests and so many papers to write. Long hours were spend during each lecture. Running up and down the stairs to the next class. Everyone was trying their best to pay attention during the lecture but sometimes could not due so because of fatigue and lack of sleep. Overlooking these situations baruch has been great for meeting new people. I’ve met so many people from different backgrounds and am excited to meet many more.

Brian Lee Monologue
The Fall of 2012 was going to be the start of something new for me. During my senior year I wondered what college would be like and how much different it would be from high school. I thought that college would change me. I though that i would not have a life anymore because college was going to ruin it. Day one finally arrived and I was excited and terrified. The school was enormus and there were a lot people although I am used to this because my high school was overcrowded. As the weeks went by I felt that college was great and that it was just like high school without the intensity level. I was not intimidated by a class of 100+ people. I love the learning envirnoment at Baruch College and the different facilities that they offer. My favroite facility is the main gym where I go to play basketball during my free time. I thought that once I go to college my dedication to basketball would end. Well to be honest I think I got better because of different people i played there. The difference between high school and college is that college needs to be taken more seriously. Students in high school would procrastinate all the time and waste their time and question why they had to do school work. College is a different story. If you fail it’s your problem and you will have to be one to fix it. There is less time to make up for your failure. The safety net is slimmer and once you have chosen a path there is no turning back. The way people study for test, the way they write papers, the way they do homework is all gonna change. I am excited about the diversity of people there is in Baruch College. They give you an opportunaty to meet so many different people. College has given me a responsibility; to succeed and to build my future. Right now it’s almost halfway through the first semister and i’m feeling great although i need to do better in some classes. The most important thing in college is not only to study but to also create connections with other students and form your own study groups with people that you are confortable being around. This will lead to success in your college career.

Hey its brian lee here. On the basketball courts i am known as Jeremy Lin. Bssketball is my passion and i just love the hype and excitment of the sport. When it comes to basketball i become very competitive. When i play basketball i always have the desire to win everytime no matter what. In order to win i have to have this confidence. A pitcure that strongly represents who i am is the one with the pillow feathers. This shows that i can be a fun person. This was the time where my friend invited me to go to the pillow fight with her in Washington Square park. I saw many people in weird outfits such as a guy in Knights armor. Another picture that strongly represents me is the picture of the city. I just love the city. i was born a city person and will always be a city person. I just love the energy that NYC offers to everyone with the lively nights and just the culture. Another picture that represents me is the picture with my parents. I just love my parents. They are my entertainment when im at home and they are not at work. I am an only child therefore they just try their best to keep me entertained.i just love every moment i have with my parents. Some more important pictures are the award and the concert photo. I had a strong dedication to music when i was in high school. i was in band for four year and just enjoyed playing music. I worked my way up in my section to become a leader everntually. Thus in my graduation year i was awarded for my efforts in band playing the clarinet. I proved to by teacher how strong i can be. Lastly something that is very important to me is friendship. As these pictures show, i can be friends with anyone just as long as people allow me to be.i am the friendliest person that you will ever meet. It does not take much for me to become your friend.
