I thought the workshops were a waste of time for the most part. The only one that was somewhat beneficial was the course registration information one. However, i do see room for improvment in that one. It could have been slower and more thorough than it was when explaining about the different schools and curricular requirements for other majors besides business.
In my opinion, I don’t think any of the enrichment workshops were useful. Most students are already busy enough with school and other obligations so making these workshops outside of class time was a hassle. They didn’t do anything to teach us about what goes on at Baruch or what the school has to offer. If anything, the first enrichment workshop was the best because it was a somewhat entertaining way to begin the school year.
If I could choose one word to describe my first few months at Baruch, it would be crazy. So much has happened that it is hard to believe that I have only been here for about three months, but at the same time it has been the fastest three months of my life. I chose this picture to represent these three months because it shows how in college it is hard to do anything productive when you’re living with your friends and there’s so many things going on around you. Most of the time, I have the intention of getting all my work done, but I end up doing absolutely nothing. Between school work, volleyball, and my job it is hard to effectively manage my time, but it’s one of those things you need to do to be successful in college. Aside from all this, however, college is truly a time to enjoy yourself and make the most of your life before you have to worry about your future too much. I feel like I’ve been enjoying my time here at Baruch so far, and I’m looking forward to next semester and the rest of the year.

I believe that this picture best represents my first semester at Baruch because:
1. Its colorful, and to me these colors represent the many different emotions I felt at Baruch. Most of these colors are bright and cheerful (my experience has mostly been a positive one)
2. This picture seems a bit abstract to me. Its not a picture of anything in particular, but it can still be used to make a point (what Im trying to do right now). My first semester at Baruch is not something that can truely be explained in great detail, but I do believe that it succeeded in making a large impact on my life.
For me the best workshop was the very first one we had. It was entertaining while at the same time being informative. Those two things are the best way to capture and keep my attention. The second workshop was more with common sense. People who are at the age where they’re going to college should know by now the things you should and more importantly should not say to people.
Of all the enrichment workshops we attended this semester, the one I found most useful and entertaining was the NYU students performance. There was actually some beneficial information in the performances and it was enjoyable. All of the other enrichment workshops were boring and just seemed like a waste of time. This was the only one that enjoyed and took something from.

This picture basically sums up my first semester. A lot of sleeping and a lot of sitting in front of books not studying.
I went to three enrichment workshops this semester. I found that all the workshops were a waste of time. I know people put alot of time and effort into these workshops, but they were pointless. I am an adult and i know how to act both in and out of college. The workshops seemed to think of us as children. If i had to say which one i liked the most it would have to be the NYU one on the sole reason that it was more like a play. The one on speaking up for yourself was pointless the idea was right but it should be shown in a high school freshman class not to grown college students. So yeah thats my take on the Baruch enrichment workshops. On a side note loved meeting all of you and hope you have a great four years at Baruch.
