A moment in my life that characterizes me is when I moved to a new home. Being placed in a new city with unfamiliar people has shaped me to become more social and friendly. My father was Chinese and my mother was Caucasian. I was born in Brownwood, TX and stayed there for only a few years. My mother’s job moved us to New York City when I was about 3. Several years later, my father was offered a job in Malaysia and we all moved there. Starting school in Malaysia was the first test for me. Not only was I the only minority in the school, but I hardly knew the language. Then I moved to Ohio for middle school and high school. In middle school and high school, everyone seemed to have their clique of friends that they have known since they were babies. And lastly, I came to New York City for college. So all my life I have been the new kid. I have had to learn how to feel comfortable in a new environment and learn to make new friends. So I went beyond my comfort zone and it has made me the out-going and friendly person I am today.
One of my favorite hobbies is taking photo’s of where I have been. The places I lived look completely different from each other. So here are a few photos of the places I called home.

Xi Lin,

The way I am with music is the way I view life, if I like it, it doesn’t matter what genre it is. I listen to many different type of music: Rap, Hip Hop, RnB, Kpop, and some that i don’t even know how to categorize. A lot of times I don’t even know the lyrics or understand what was presented to me in the song but it seems like I can just sense the song and the feeling the singer has convey. I love music, and i am sure that many people do as well but if you ever ask me who is my favorite artist or which band do I listen to the most, I would froze and be loss of words. I love all musics, just like how i appreciate everything in life. I am an explorer who wants to try everything yet at the same time I refused to stay in the same hobby.
