It was hard for me to choose ten songs which described me or just in general so I decided to pick ten songs by my two favorite bands: Green Day and The Beatles. The songs I chose are not necessarily my favorite songs by each band as that in itself is a hard decision to make so I chose the first five that I found on YouTube for each of them. They aren’t just my favorite bands though. They also inspire me musically. I play guitar and I really had no interest in playing music until I started listening to Green Day more and then The Beatles inspired me to learn to play different styles of music. I may not be the best at playing music but what I’ve learned from these two bands is that what matters in the end is that you are having fun playing music and that it is making you happy. I can count on these bands to make me feel better, or just music in general really, any time that I am in a bad mood. No matter what I am doing I am always listening to music and without music I don’t know what I would do. I don’t just listen to rock though. I like to listen to hip hop, r&b, pop, all kinds of music but anyone who truly knows me knows how obsessed I am with these two bands.

  1. the Beatles are classic. and green day is amazing. i never knew you played guitar i’ve been trying to get myself to start learning sometime but i never seem to get around to it. i guess because i have to get some missing strings from guitar center and i really don’t know what to get or if guitar center is even the right place to go… regardless i completely agree that life without music would leave me lost in my own thoughts with no artistic and motivational influence. i also don’t love rock as much as i do other genres of music. ironically i even, enjoy indie rock. maybe when i learn how to play guitar a little better we could have a nice jam sesh 😉
