Who I Think I Am

Bonjour! I’m Victoria, and the following eight image descriptions (in alphabetical order because I’m OCD) may provide you with a better sense of my “personality”:

American Horror Story: Out of all the TV shows I’ve ever watched, (Gossip Girl, SATC, CSI, The Carrie Diaries, etc) American Horror Story has always been my favorite. I’ve seen the first season approximately 7,382 times. Kidding. Some of the scenery is rather disturbing – for instance, there was a ten-second segment of a woman eating a brain. I guess you could say it’s quite weird and a little grotesque. But that’s why I like it.
Audrey Hepburn: The epitome of class, and also the best actress to have ever existed, in my opinion. Her most well-known movie, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, is one of my all time favorites.
Headbands: Headbands are to me what shoes are to Carrie Bradshaw. In other words, they’re a permanent staple to my everyday outfit.
Horseback riding: I had started horseback riding back when I was in middle school. It’s one of the three sports I’ve done and enjoyed so far. (The other two include ice skating and shopping.)
Ladurée macarons: These were the first desserts I had tasted when I moved to New York, and I’ve been eating them weekly ever since. I’ve also recently found out that they import new pastries from Paris to NYC overnight, daily. I wonder what they do with the leftovers. Do they just.. throw them away? Because I’d be more than willing to accept donations.
Seattle: I’m from Seattle and I have a love-hate relationship with it – more hate than love, to be honest. Overall, I’m glad I’m not living there anymore. And not just because of the weather. The atmosphere itself is extremely mundane – well, to me at least. The shopping is bad; the weather is worse. No, it doesn’t rain everyday. But it is gloomy 80% of the year. They have good coffee and that’s about it.
Tiffany blue: Some people call it “teal”, “aquamarine” or “turquoise”, but I don’t feel as if any of of those perfectly describe the shade I’m referring to. It’s not teal because it’s much lighter. It’s not turquoise because it isn’t as blue. And “aquamarine” is just way too vague. Everyday I wake up and rejoice at the fact that it actually has a formal name; otherwise, I would have somewhat of a hard time explaining to people what my favorite color is.
Traveling: I was four months old when I first started flying. By the time I was eight, I had begun flying alone to visit family and friends in other states and countries. I don’t think I would be half as independent as I am now if I hadn’t grown up with the opportunity to travel by myself. There is absolutely nothing I love more than traveling. My favorite place to visit has always been London and I plan on living there one day.
One Response to “Who I Think I Am”
Thanks for sharing, Victoria! With your macarons, headbands, and Tiffany blue you are on your way to becoming Audrey! I have to say… I had a very Carrie Bradshaw NYC moment when I started storing my shoes in my kitchen cabinets (small closet!) a la Carrie storing her sweaters in the stove! Got to make it work in NYC 🙂
