For our New York Times Front Page project, our group chose the Fashion theme. At first, it was hard to agree on what topic should we choose, because everyone had different ideas in their minds. Some topics just weren’t just fascinating to one person, and some were obscure to another. But then we thought of fashion, and we realized that it’s a topic that everyone can relate to, and all of us found it interesting. Furthermore, this theme would make our front page stands out from other. We all thought that this theme was a great idea and immediately agreed on it.
Our articles are very diverse in the content, but they are all related to the theme we chose. We chose articles about fashion shows, fashion trend, and fashion-related news worldwide and nationally. I was in charge of finding a national-level fashion article and writing a Bearcat post. I found an article about how fashion makes a significant change to clubs in Los Angeles, and decided to include it in our front page because I thought it was very refreshing and thought-provoking. For the Bearcat post, I chose to write about the Fashion Industry Club in Baruch because the club combines fashion interest with business, which is an awesome idea.
Overall, this project was a great experience because I learned many new things while looking through fashion articles on NYTimes site.
