Our group originally focused on a way to relax and what better way than to just sit down at a nice scenic park! The articles we chose revolved around different parks, ranging from ones in the city to ones out of state such as Yellowstone.
In an extremely fast paced city such as NYC itself, the parks offer a place to escape and relax. I chose a local park, Union Square Park because it’s only a couple blocks away from Baruch.
Reading through the various news articles, I learned that most of the parks usually have some sort of important historical background to them. They really are special and meaningful not just for the people but for the city as a whole.
