Life’s Moulds

Values of Life

The only way you can truly know someone is by knowing the things they value most. To me, for the sake of keeping the slideshow to 8 pictures, I picked 4 basic things: religion, family, friends, and music. The first two slides depict something I had grown up with my entire life, something that my mind is ultimately shaped by. This is Judaism, my religion but more so my way of life. The two pictures contain a Torah, the “book” that serves as a guideline for a Jew’s entire life from the moment he wakes up in the morning to just before he closes his eyes to go to sleep at night. The second picture is of the Rabbi, or religious leader of my synagogue. He serves as an inspiration for me to better myself every day. I’ve been raised with a Jewish mindset and ideology and loving it so much, I will continue to live by it and pass it on to the children that I hope to have some day. Next on my list, the people who brought me to the place I am now and those who are responsible for everything that I am. My family raised me with the beliefs and morals that I now live by, and I don’t think I’ve turned out to be such a horrible person. Both pictures of my family were taken on a trip we took to Miami in the summer of 2012. My mom and dad, and my brother Tamir who is pretty much my best friend too since we are only a year apart, me being the older brother. I have a sister too, Seagal but I didn’t have any pictures with her and the rest of the family on facebook, so I went with the closest one. My house is always loud and busy and full of laughter because of each and every one of our vibrant personalities and I can’t wish for a better family than the one I have. Moving on to friends, I’ve already made so many friends that I believe will stay with me for the rest of my life. In the 6th picture I’m sitting with my best friend, no, my brother Daniel Janel who I met in kindergarten and although we split up after middle school, we saw each other at least once a week during our entire high school years. The 5th picture contains my high school brothers, and an imitation of the 3 girls in the picture on the left, who are also really close friends of mine. I see friends as people you can speak your mind to without fear of being judged, and they have truly served their purpose. Music came into my life a little later, but has shaped me nonetheless. I am a passionate guitarist with 3 years experience and it has added so much my life. I love rock and roll, the two pictures show me playing some great songs at my annual school talent show.
