The following ten songs are songs that I believe characterize myself. I love music and chose songs that I’ve listened to recently.
    – The Kooks – The Seaside, represents my love of the ocean. I was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and lived there until I was 8. So, I love surfing and try to go surfing as much as possible when I have a break from school.
    – The Cinematic Orchestra – To Build a Home, represents my love of classical and orchestra music. I could listen to classical music all day as it is very calming and chill, which I think describes myself.
    – Ellie Goulding – Halcyon, is a song by one of my favorite artists. I also like the deeper meaning of the song and how it ties to the term “Halcyon day.”
    – Grand Hallyway (Tomo Nakayama) – Horses, describes how I used to ride horses when I was a kid. Also, this song is in the new indie film, Touchy Feely, and independent films are something I like to watch frequently and film in general is a passion of mine.
    – Madeon ft. Ellie Goulding – Stay Awake, It’s a catchy tune and also another song by Ellie Goulding, but Madeon is a 19 years old kid. Someone who is my age making music and following his dream is something that is quite inspirational. I want to work in the music or film industry when I get out of college so it’s motivative.
    – Arcade Fire – The Suburbs, relates to the place I grew up in Potomac, Maryland.
    – 3OH!3 – Youngblood, is a good party song and well I like a good party.
    – Bastille – Things We Lost in the Fire, I love looking for new bands and was listening to this while I was writing my description.
    – Bastille – Flaws, is just a song that gets me out of a funk. It’s kind of enriching and lovely.
    – Mumdance – Don’t Forget Me Know, represents something very personal to myself.
