elizabeth video

Hello everyone, my name is Elizabeth and I am a dancer. I’ve been ballroom dancing since I was 6 years old. I compete nationally and internationally. I was three time Junior National Champion, and I represented the US 4 times as a junior and 2 times as an adult in England at the World Championships. I’ve also been on Dancing with the Stars (when I was 12) and America’s Got Talent (last year). I am currently placed 17th in the world in the adult category, and last year I placed 2nd at a World competition in Paris, which is very exciting for me. This blog post is mostly about dance because that is what my video pertains to. You’ll see in the video that I eat, drink, and sleep dance- and even when I’m seemingly not dancing- I’m still dancing.

But there is more to me than just my dancing. I love learning and going to school. I especially love the sciences- biology, chemistry. I’m interested in anatomy and physical therapy, as I plan to find work in that field because it closely relates to my dancing. I’m also interested in studying business management and even law. I basically want to learn about everything.

I also love my family and love spending time with them. I cook for my family all the time, to make it easier for my mom, and also to watch people enjoy my creations. I don’t particularly love to clean, but I love cleanliness and neatness so I’m also the designated housekeeper.

I did spend a lot of time creating this video, because a) I’ve never really done anything like that b) whenever I do or create something, I go all out- otherwise it’s not worth doing at all. I hope you enjoy my video!!!

Hey! I’m Tiffany Tang, Tang like the drink. Sorry, that was really corny of me but I couldn’t help it. Sometimes I introduce myself as “Tiffany Tang, Tang like the Pu-Tang Klan” but I really meant you know the Wu-Tang Clan. As you can probably tell I am really not a funny person. I really like to be random and whimsical because the standard is just boring, right? It is really important to be spontaneous to keep things interesting because being bored is well, boring.

I don’t really know what to say about myself because well, no one really likes to talk about themselves, right? In High School I did policy debate, which sounds nerdy but it really wasn’t, promise. This gave me the opportunity to travel across the country and meet different people. It was cool because, although, we were all different we were all interconnected through this activity. Debate is like an exclusive evil cult filled with geeks and nerds who like to talk about real issues and real problems: policy, theory, government, racism, and basically every other –ism you can think of. I know it’s weird talking about our high school experiences in college, it might even be a taboo but this definitely molded me into the person I am today, the girl sitting alone. in the library. blogging. If anything it made me more prepared for what was to come here. From interacting with different social groups to getting no sleep preparing briefs and arguments, I feel ready. Ish. Maybe ready. Just kidding, not ready.

I really like clothes. I really REALLY REALLY love clothes. Okay, maybe not a love, maybe just a fine appreciation. I think I would be perfectly content if someone just left me in a room with Vogue or Harpers Bazaar. (I have a life, I SWEAR!) I am done with this really long ramble, partially, because I don’t know where I am going with this. It has been a pleasure (indirectly) talking to you and I bid you farewell! Just kidding. I attached a random video I made because kitchens are awesome.

whatsuphomies <– press me. or not. thats cool too.

I know exactly who I am because I know that I don’t know much about myself. If you didn’t quite understand that, don’t worry, it only took me 18 years to come up with it. Every day I learn something quite new or different about myself. For example, it was only a couple of months ago that I learned that I am deathly afraid of spiders. Or that I don’t want to be a fairy princess anymore, but the medicine field is looking pretty good right now. Of course, there are things that I knew about myself from very early on. I knew in the first grade that I loved to talk, and that I am what some might call “bossy.” I love trying new things, and I invite you to try a new thing by listening to my playlist:

10 Chansons

I am aware that I can be quite abrasive. I like what I like, and I know exactly what I don’t. I don’t find that being sly or clever with words gets me anywhere, and I am not going to lie to you if you look fat in that dress. I am a firm believer in passion: if you are going to do something, you might as well do it well. I love food, and dogs and I am convinced that cats are the devil in a fur coat. I speak very fast, and I’m not sure if that’s because I’m a New Yorker, or because I was a rapper in a previous life.  I would go on further about myself, but much like how you’re probably feeling about my playlist, you wouldn’t understand.
