I swear I was going to be a better student. Before classes began, I promised myself that I would stop the procrastination. The plan for a productive-me was taking shape. College was supposed to change everything, right? It seemed like it, at least for awhile. But I see myself crawling back to my old habits. This meme properly depicts my first semester so far and probably my future semesters at Baruch:

Yet, it’s not all that bad. I have met new and awesome people. I am adapting to this new environment. Schoolwork has been generally average, minus the freaking art class. I shouldn’t even be complaining right now, because it’s just going to get harder from here. Doesn’t matter, though. I’m ready for it. Your move, Baruch.

It’s weird how time flies. Felt like it was just yesterday when I struggled to even find a suitable college. Now, we’re already halfway done with our first semester. Yes, there were stressful times before I got to this point. But to me, it has been a blink of an eye. Time’s moving. Another blink of an eye and I’ll be a sophomore. A junior. A senior. It’s quick. Time hits you full force. So I try to take it slow. Take it in and enjoy what I have. Enjoy the people around me. Enjoy college. Because before I know it, it’s another blink of an eye—I’m right there, stepping up on the podium, smiling at the cameras, receiving my diploma.

Here’s the link to the slideshow. Like the majority of us, I chose an 8-image slideshow to depict who I am and what I like. First up, I have an image of the car I drive all around NY, a modest but reliable Honda CRV. I’ve been driving since I was 15, and I consider it as one of my favorite hobbies. The next picture shows the Xbox One that I bought over the summer. I do enjoy gaming, and most of the time I enjoy playing them with my friends. Next up is a picture taken at Central Park, and it is my favorite picture of all the pictures that I have ever taken, simply because it’s the most picturesque photo I am sure I will ever take. The following picture might have some roll their eyes, but I can’t help but show my love for Apple. This Apple Store in 5th Ave. is my favorite store. If only I had more money to buy their products… When it came to a picture of food, it was really hard to choose. Eventually I chose a picture of sushi, as it is one of my favorite foods. I had to follow that up with a really tasty and lengthy sandwich that I had. Next, it’s a selfie I took with my family. I graduated! In this very moment, I was looking forward to college. Oh, how naive I was. Finally, I found it appropriate to end the slideshow with a picture of none other than Eminem, my favorite artist. I went to his concert last month, and it was one of the most thrilling experiences I’ve ever had.
