My first three months here at Baruch has been a great experience. I’ve met some people who I feel I will remain in contact with, even after leaving Baruch. The area that surrounds Baruch has given me a chance to try different foods that I have not tried before. The school is also conveniently located in the city, which gives me a chance to travel there and explore different places surrounding the school. The workload, in comparison to high school, is much larger. I am trying to slowly adjust with the amount of work that I’ve been receiving. Although it has taken me a bit of time, I am becoming more effective with time management. Additionally, I’ve been taught to think critically in multiple classes, and I’ve learned a lot. I am looking forward to spending the next three and a half years, here at Baruch. The picture below is one I took of some cupcakes that I’ve tried from Baked by Melissa. This picture basically shows my frequent visits to try different foods since coming to Baruch.

Julie’s Monologue
Time ticks, ticks, ticks.
I’ve got multiple things to do,
and no time.
One more episode, I tell myself.
Three episodes later,
I’m at the exact same spot.
Tick, tick, tick.
I get up to do some chores,
only, after fifteen minutes,
I take a break that lasts an hour.
Tick, tick, tick.
It’s time to get back to work.
Tomorrow, I tell myself.
Tomorrow, I will not waste precious time.
Only, tomorrow comes and its the same as today.
Julie’s picture slideshow
The slideshow I created represents who I am. The first picture is of a ruin in Cambodia. This summer I visited Cambodia for the first time in ten years and the trip proved to be amazing. The picture captivates the beauty of the country and shows my love for traveling. The second picture is of my dog. I recently adopted him and he has become a major part of my life. I’ve always been an animal lover and ever since becoming his owner, I have become happier. The third picture is of a macaroni and cheese dish. I love trying different foods from different restaurants, and this picture shows my love for food. The fourth picture is of the scenery in Hong Kong. I was able to visit Hong Kong for the first time this summer and it was a great experience. The fifth picture is of a flower. I love flowers and their smell, so this shows my love for flowers. The sixth picture is of a milk tea drink and it’s one of my favorite drinks. The seventh picture is of a scenic view. I love nature and this picture captures the beauty of nature. My last picture is a book that I’ve read over the summer. I love reading and this book is one of my favorites of all time.
