My first semester at Baruch has been an interesting experience. The biggest thing I think I have learned this semester has been that time management is a huge part of success in Baruch. Between the train schedule, paper deadlines, art projects and everything else that may come up, deciding when to get everything done and still have time to sleep can be a challenge. Although I have not exactly mastered my time management, I now know what I should not do (procrastinate), because the following semesters are just going to get harder and harder. I have made many great friends in my three months at Baruch and hope to continue those friendships after this semester. Additionally, one resource that I realized is great and will continue to use it during my career at Baruch is the library. Whether it is to print out a paper, write a paper, study, borrow a laptop, or just use the computers there for research, the library is the place for it. I have also began playing on the baseball team, we have had a couple of winter workouts but the real practices begin in the second semester. I look forward to playing on the team and with that I will have to manage my time around baseball which will be a challenge but I am up for it.

Monologue
The pitcher began his motion,
I started off towards second.
The throw was coming in from the catcher.
I could see that it would be close.
I began my slide and felt my foot get caught in the dirt
But I could not do anything to stop my ankle from being twisted.
I tried standing but the pain was too much to bear.
I felt like I was going to throw up.
My first serious injury happened my senior year of high school and it could not have been worse. I missed the entire baseball season all because of one play. Although I realized it was not my fault, this did not ease any feeling of sadness in me. I hope I never have to experience that ever again.
Even though I am yet to find any sensible reason for this, I still believe that everything happens for a reason. Since then, I have started class in Baruch, made plenty of great friends and will be continuing my baseball career at Baruch as well, when the season starts in the spring.

I chose the photos in my slideshow because I feel each of them represent a part of me. I have pictures of my favorite baseball team, the New York Yankees, as well as player, Alex Rodriguez, because baseball is a big part of my life. Even though many people hate A-rod because of what he did, he will still always be my favorite player. I have been playing since I was very little and will be continuing my career at Baruch. I also chose a picture of A$AP Ferg because he is my favorite rapper and I am always listening to his music. The backgroud music for my slideshow is also A$AP Ferg. The picture of me playing baseball also just shows how I love baseball and hopefully will never stop playing. When the new yankee stadium was built in 2009, my dad worked on it and he took me to work sometimes to see it, so I have a picture of the finished stadium. Lastly, I chose a picture of my dog CJ who is currently 9 years old. She has been with me in a good part of my life and she is a great dog.
