The first semester of my time at Baruch is nearing its end, and I can easily say it’s gone by quicker than I imagined. I came into college with the expectation of having a higher workload than ever before. Surprisingly, this wasn’t the case. In my opinion, college work is easier than high school. However, there are more added responsibilities as an adult who is nearing one’s career. These responsibilities posed a new challenge in college that I hadn’t experienced in high school: time management. Balancing one’s work, social, and familial life becomes a difficulty. I found this meme to be relatable because of the amount of time I spend at the library. A lot of older classmates told me how big of a resource the library is and how most freshmen don’t realize that. Personally, I find that studying in the library with classmates makes the job a lot more efficient and interesting. Even if you’re facing a challenging situation, the fact that your peers are with you struggling somehow makes it bearable. Overall, my first semester at Baruch was definitely not what I expected. I met a lot of new people and truly learned a lot; gaining more exposure in terms of the real world.
This is soo funny1 I feel like this always happens to me.
I very much agree with much of this post.
