Blogpost 3- Chris Raqueno

My college life so far has been a real pleasant surprise as I really had no idea what I was getting myself into. So far I have really enjoyed myself at Baruch and in my bloc, meeting some people that I really hope to stay close to over my four years at Baruch and even beyond that. So far I have not really had any problems with the work load and have only had the issue when it comes to my time management. My life now is so different then it was in high school as now I live on my own in the dorms, have even more time dedicated to basketball and practice, and even have brand new friends. Baruch is a place I’ve enjoyed so far and I cannot wait until to see what will happen next in my college career. photo

The first photo is in the slideshow shows my basketball teammates and I at our graduation. Saying goodbye to them was like saying goodbye to my brothers so they needed a spot here.

The next photo is of my brother Steven and I at my high school awards night. My brother and I are very close and not seeing him every day is kinda crazy.

The third picture shows me after receiving my school’s student athlete award with my assistant coach who is basically a second father to me and someone i will never forget.

In the fourth picture I am receiving my pinstripe award from the PSAL at Yankee Stadium. This award meant so much to me and it was really a special honor to receive it at the world famous stadium.

In the next picture is simply the Baruch Bearcat, I’m proud to say I am now officially a bearcat and I cannot wait for what the next four years have to offer.

Playing basketball means so much to me and in the next picture it shows me on my home floor during a game. It was an amazing experience and helped shape who I am today.

The seventh picture shows me giving my speech after receiving my high school’s scholar athlete award. Receiving this award just showed off all the hard work I put in the classroom and on the court which meant more then anyone could even know. The fact that my teammates, coaches, family, and other special people attended the ceremony made it even more special.

The next picture is simply the logo of my favorite professional team, The New York football Giants. The love I have for the team almost surpasses everything else in the world and i refuse to miss a game.

The ninth picture shows me and two of my best friends at our senior day. I do not even want to think what I would do without these guys and the fact that none of us are even looking at the picture just shows how we are in reality.

The final picture shows the recently former Miss America and I at my job. Working for an old time theater is special to me because it has given me great opportunities like meeting her, Kevin James, The Impractical Jokers, and many more.
