Blog #3 for Freshman Seminar – Ehtasham Bhatti

This meme (which I DID NOT create and whose source I cannot find) is the perfect representation of my college career thus-far here at Baruch.

I guess in high-school, things were too easy. Assignments were relatively easy, not numerous, and we had plenty of time to do them. But now, assignments are piling on, very difficult, and we’re given barely enough time to complete them. 🙁

People often stated that college was easy – but I beg to differ. In college, you’re expected to be an “adult,” when in reality, I just want to continue to live in my child norm of not having to do too much work. But all good things must come to an end – don’t they?

But as I do all this work, including this assignment, I repeat to myself the following family motto: “The Tree of Hard-Work Yields Very Sweet Fruits.” So let’s nail all this work, plant our trees, wait a couple more weeks, and hopefully collect the fruit in the end. 🙂
