Last blogpost – experience at Baruch College

My experience at Baruch college this semester was definitely a different one. Everyone says their first semester at their respective colleges/universities are easy but I found my first semester at Baruch very difficult. I honestly loved how endless assignments were toppled on me. I love being pushed to my limits and genuinely working hard for success. My peer mentors Jessica and Shanima warned us that time management is imperative in college. Experience is a great teacher. The road only gets tougher from here so I feel that I can do what I need to do to do well.  Anywho, like most others, you are on your own in college. I had to make all the decisions and everything was on me. I thought I would hate the idea of a block for my first semester in college but it turned out to be a great experience. First off, I met some great people in my block; people I would have never thought I would meet. People from anywhere and everywhere entered my life here at Baruch college and it was amazing. I really do like this school. I love how I receive a higher level education that is being paid for. Lastly, I love how I have taken my next step in life here at Baruch College.

Laundry

Assort it; colors or white

The weight of the laundry sure isn’t light

I toss it into the machine

Fill in the quarters – cha-ching

Precisely measure the detergent; smells breezy

Pouring it into the compartment, sure is easy

The machine rotates my dirty clothes

Around and around it goes

Thirty minutes will be the time to wait

Patience is the part I hate

Thirty minutes walk by…

Throw the wet clothes into a drier nearby

Wait another thirty

Wow that girl folding her clothes sure is purdy

Take it out

Fold my clothes

Pack it up

Out I goes

Hey, I’m Sang. The first picture represents probably my favorite food, pizza. Besides a few dishes from my culture, pizza is by far my most favorite food. My second picture represents a picture I took during my one and only college orientation in Baruch College. It shows the view of the city and truly how one can learn with such a view around them. My third and fourth pictures are pictures from my senior prom. The first one is the one of me and my best friend. We even put our tuxedos on together, and walked to my dates house to take pictures together, and we even went home together; as weird as that sounds… My fourth picture is a picture of my date and I. We took this picture at a hidden location at the place where prom took place. This girl actually asked ME to prom; would’ve never guessed right?  My fourth and fifth pictures represent my religious lifestyle. Christianity is what people would label my religion but I look at it as a lifestyle, as odd as it sounds. The fourth picture of the Holy Bible in the Christian religion and the fifth picture is of my brothers and sisters in Christ at the beach! My seventh picture is a picture of me after graduation. Wow, what a day; many laughs and cries. The end means theres always a new beginning right! I loved high school and I spent it with the greatest friends I could ever ask for. Lastly, I love the New York Yankees. The figure in the eighth photo represents why. People know Derek Jeter like anybody would know Michael Jordan of basketball. Jeter is known not just for the publicity, but for how much he accomplished, how much he changed the game, and his attitude as a person and as an athlete. This man is a huge reason for the success of the franchise of the New York Yankees and is the reason why I flip the channel to YES Network to watch the Yankees play every six out of seven days. In conclusion, this is who I am.
