Monologue

Every year I write the same thing on a card. “I want us to grow old together laughing and reminiscing all the good times.” We’re bordering 5 years of friendship and hopefully many more will come. You’re the one friend that truly honors the title of “best friend.” I’ve entrusted you with a lot of my shit, my baggage, my life. You’ve done the same and I intend to treasure it. You’re the person I run to for when I feel any sort of emotion that I need to talk about. We’ve laughed, we’ve cried and we’ve been happy. I want you to know that I would have never been able to feel so relieved of all my weights if you hadn’t been there for me for all those times. You’re like a sister to me and I am so thankful for it. You’re strong, considerate, intellectual and most of all, you are you. Whatever happens from here on out I’m glad you’ll be with me through it all. Here’s to you Jenn!
