American Museum of Natural History Trip

I went to the American Museum of Natural History. I met up with my old internship partner, from when I used to intern there. We got a chance to see our science mentor from last year in the Conservation Biology Department. We went through the different exhibits; we got to see the Dinosaurs and the exhibit about the Big Bang and how the world started in the Planetarium. We also got a chance to look at the different halls with the preserved animals in them, from all different continents including South America and the African Plains. We got to see the giant blue whale where all the sea life is. We got to see some of the labs behind the scenes and we went over some of the data from our internship. We took a picture sitting in the Conservation Hall on our old computer, which I included. We went down to the cafeteria and had some museum food. We got to see some early humans and how they evolved from primates. We got to see some animals that your would see in a rain forest climate. We also got to see some of the tools and arts used by the Native Americans and the giant canoe they have on the ceiling. We got to see some tribal art and masks and ritual costumes in the hall of Africans, and we got to see some old Chinese art and vases in the hall of china and some Japanese robes. I was amazed by all the different species of animals I had never seen before, and overall the experience was amazing. I loved being able to see the real sizes of these animals, for example if you could see a blue whale up-close you were able to see exactly how small you would be in comparison. It was nice seeing my old intern partner.
