Most Iconic Painting : Starry Night by Vincent van Gogh (1889)
This famous painting is showcased in the MOMA. There were huge crowds of people circled around the painting. They seemed to appreciate Vincent’s unique art and its value. The method Vincent van Gogh used for his painting was oil paint. This is Vincent’s illustration of his location’s starry sky in June 1889. The art is indescribable and holds many different interpretations.

Picasso’s Favorite : Two Nudes By Picasso (1906)

This was one of Picasso’s greatest works. I observed the photo carefully to create my own interpretation of the art. From my observation, I concluded that the relationship between the two nudists had must have been a difference in social class. The one nudist opening the cover indicated that she must respect the nudist that is fixing her hair. Also another observation to be kept in mind was that the “Lower Class” nudist had her hair braided and tied up, while the “Higher Class” nudist had her hair comfortably loose and straight. This painting also used the same method as the Starry Night, Oil Painting.

Summary:

My visit at the MOMA has opened my eyes to many new art styles that I have never seen before. Vincent van Gogh’s Starry Night and Picasso’s Two Nudes are only a glimpse of what MOMA offers. Their architecture center is stellar, but I did not have enough time to visit that exhibit. Like most museums, MOMA closes at 5:30 p.m. There was one piece of art that looked like someone spilled paint all over the painting by accident. I had thought that the painting had no meaning and was pointless, but the MOMA employees educated me about why the painting was so important. The painting was Jackson Pollock’s A Collection Survey. It was a painting that took 20 years to create. Its value was its time and creativity that Jackson Pollock demonstrated on a canvas. To summarize everything in one sentence, The MOMA has amazing art and great employees that will help educate you on each painting. What you learn about each painting will fascinate you.
