For my final blog post I went to the library/study room located across the Newman Vertical building. The Baruch library gave me so many opportunities to progress with my studies as well as the study rooms located all over the library. I was able to sit down pull out my notes and review and even learn new topics for my classes. A great part of the library is the computer lab located on the sixth floor; there I was able to write numerous essays for all my classes. Not having a laptop with me during school is very hard because I do not have the ability to sit anywhere I want pull out my laptop and start doing some work. So having the computer lab really helped me get my work done during my breaks instead of just sitting doing nothing as the time passes by. My favorite thing in the library has to be the study rooms. The study rooms have allowed me and my piers to help each other study in a quite space and cram for pre-calc exams. I’m the type of person who easily gets distracted by things around me, so it makes it very hard for me to do work home. Having a space were everyone around you also doing work for classes motivates me to sit down get out my notebook and get to work. Overall the library has had an incredible positive affect of me, my work habits, and my attitude to getting the work done. Having a library with so many wonderful features as well as the library being open for so long, I defiantly wouldn’t be doing as good or as good as I think I’m doing in class without the library/study room and all the utilities the library at Baruch has to offer.
