For this blog I have decided to take the Universum Career Test. This test focuses in my career interest and the companies I am interested to work in. I chose five companies, J.P Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Google, Apple, and Tesla, the test gave me several different options for each company and I had to choose the option that appeals to me. For instance, one of the category for the test was flexible hours, and I thought Google has flexible hours because I heard they only work for the company four days and work for themselves one day. After submitting the test, the result states the career type they think it’s good for you, unfortunately they could not come up with a career type for me because supposedly they didn’t acquire enough information about me. However, the result have suggested ten companies I should look in to work for in the future. I don’t know at least five companies which were suggested to me, so researching about them will be nice and I will get a better insight of the companies and maybe understand why they were suggested to me. Anyways, this test was extremely helpful it enhanced my understanding of the career I am interested in which is finance.

BAP GIM
When I heard about the different types of clubs and fraternities available in Baruch, I showed interest in a lot of them and signed up for different clubs and fraternities. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to join a club or fraternity, so I decided to attend Beta Alpha Psi general interest meeting. BAP is an honors society, their fraternity is based on professionalism, community service, and brotherhood. They help students develop types of skills which later can be used on life. They also help students get internship at places such as JP Morgan Chase & Co and also help them prepare for interviews for different kind of jobs they are interested in. I really liked diversity and the relationship the member of BAP share. They also have events where the current members of BAP get to meet the old member of BAP, they said it gives a better insight as of what to expect in the real world. They have other fun outdoor and indoor events where one can meet new people and make new friends. I am not sure if I will join any club or fraternity this semester, but if I ever join any fraternity in the future I will think about Beta Alpha Psi. (I attended BAP first GIM so I didn’t know I had to take a picture and write a blog about it).
Museum Blog
I chose to go to American Museum of Natural History, which is located near Central Park. I really don’t go to Museum often unless my friends beg me to go or it’s required for some school work, but it’s nice to go to museums sometimes because there are a lot of things to see such as painting, sculpture, and many more thing. It was a great experience going to the American Museum of Natural History and learning about human’s origin and their migration. I learned a lot about human’s origin and their migration in high school but I never had a visual of it, by going to the museum I had a better insight of it. When I went to the museum it was almost time for closing so most of the sections were closed. I really wanted to go the Mummies exhibit but unfortunately it was close, so maybe I will go there again early to see that exhibit. It was a great experience going to the museum, I was able to spend time with my friend and was able to gain some useful knowledge. I am thinking of going to museums whenever I am stressed out, going to a museum is a great way to relive stress. I would recommend others to do the same.
