So I went to the American Folk Art Museum last week and looked at the work made by people in the 1700s I believe. It was very interesting to look at these pieces and see the amount of work that went into making it because everything I saw there had a lot of very small details and were all made by hand. Some of the pieces there were worn or used by American and British soldiers. Everything there had a history behind them and I learned a lot of things that I did not know about the history of the United States. In the picture I posted you can see a quilt which is made from military fabric and each one of the triangles that make the pattern is hand-sewn individually. Looking at it made me really appreciate the effort that was put into making these, and it also amazed me the good condition in which they have been kept since each one of the pieces in the museum is at least 200 years old.
