I went to an event held by the Starr development office. Iam very interested in creating a startup but i knew there were many risks that I dont really understand. The event started with the twin brothers explainning themselves and how they got into a startup company. They had degress in financing but when the job came they realized that , that’s not what they wanted to do. They knew the risk and so they decided to take it. It was good for morale to see how their risk have paid off and it gives me alot of courage to take more risks in life as rewards can be very high. In a sense i learned a valuable life lesson. Also to be a succefful company one needs to stand out from everyone else. A great company like able has great customer service and has to deal with many different type of tempered people and they explained how to deal with that. THis event gave me alot of confidence and really gave me way more knowledge than i ever had on starting a startup and how it has many stages and which one would a company need to focus on the most.

BUT YET STILL SCHOOL DOESNOT BOTHER TO CARE.

In antropology we had this person from the writing center and tried to help us with writing an essay that has a flow. In antro. we were given a very long essay question and i encountered a problem with linking all my ideas together and this person helped the whole class with that. He went over an essay and showed up key points that connected the ideas together. The hardest part about writing this essay was the fact that the topic senteces would have to be really good and the person went over alot of examples of good topic sentences. The writing center person made me so prepared for this essay that i was cramming last minute and i really thing it brought the quality of my essay to another level. It would have been very akward to take a picture of such event as the class had this lecture vibe to it.

I was very lost in finding a club to begin the day off with. I went to the student center but all the rooms were switched. I literally just walked around the fourth floor until I found a club and walked in and it just happened to be the marketing club. To be Honest it was very boring and like it felt like a class rather than club which is okay . I learned that like Marketing is all about having connections and this club helps people who wants to pursue that field get connection . Also They said that the club was known like internationally as they are somehow linked to like an organization which i dont remember the name. The club also started talking about all these collaboration , marketing firm tends to have with like big companies like snickers . The club in a sense in my view felt very akward and like honestly as the time moved on the Ice broke and it started to get more interesting. I feel like going to a club to talk about a subject that doesnot interest you much then you get to view that subject and see if you really hate it or not. For some reason most of the people in marketing were previous accounting major which is weird, many of them say the change is that accounting is clear cut while if you want creativity then you go to marketing. They say psychology plays a big role in such a class and psychology is like a genuine interest because its like pretty new science that doesnot get the credit they really deserve. Marketing in a sense they said is about manipulating the mind to get people to buy youre product. The club tried to distinguish from other marketing club with them saying that they have all this connection compared to other clubs.
