I love to play basketball, and it was an integral part of my childhood. Some of my fondest memories are of lowering the basketball hoop in our backyard to a sufficient height, and recreating dunks my brother and I saw on television.
I’ve been a bookworm for as long as I could remember. One year, (when I was younger and books tended to be thinner) I managed to read 50 books. Last year I read 22 books. My goal for this year is 30.
I’m a big fan of sculpture art, that of the Italian Renaissance in particular. This “Perseus holding the head of Medusa” was created by Benvenuto Cellini, and has an amazing back story to its creation.
Most of my family life is centered around our Albanian heritage. It is such a contrast to my social life that I feel like I live two lives. As soon as I walk in the door of my house I leave the concrete jungle and enter the mountains of Montenegro.
I aspire to speak as many languages as my mind allows me in my lifetime. I feel there is no better portal to different cultures. So far I speak 3, and am currently aiming at Russian and Japanese.
I love to draw in my spare time. This is a sketch I made during on day’s worth of classes when boredom got the best of me.
I am fascinated by the stock market and finance in general. The risk involved is exhilarating, and analyzing earnings reports is a hobby of mine.
