MY FIRST SEMESTER

Here we go. As you noticed that is the Baruch Basket Ball court.

I have chosen this picture to represent my first semester at Baruch because this is where I spent most of my time after the classrooms of course.

If you could that I posted this image because I love Basket Ball, NO you are not wrong. However that is not the only reason.

Sport is an easy way to make friends. Without talking, without knowing each other, you play together. It is magic, and this is the reason why most of the people that I know here at Baruch are from this court.

I have experienced all kind of things there: injury, fight, pain, happiness, sadness, encouragement,  mockery, shame, fame, deception and pride. And something tells me that this is only the beginning.

Baruch is tough and I barely have time to play Basket Ball but I still enjoy the campus.

I got some friends too from my classes. There are awesome. Maybe it will get better if we play Basket Ball together!

Hi, that’s me in the back. My last day as an ESL student. Ah it was a very stressful day because it was the last time to see each other and also me and Carolina (the cute latino girl with the hat) had to represent my class during the showcase. Hopefully, we did the best presentation of the ceremony and it was very fun. After that, I had to say good bye to my best friend of this class: Soejong (The pretty Korean girl standing in front of me), because she had to return to South Korea. That was not fun at all. This day is very important for me because it was the first significant day that I had since I arrived here in the United States and I miss them so much….

COTE D’IVOIRE1 (MEDIA) By Abou-Bakhr

As you will see on the pictures(WHICH ALL COME FROM GOOGLE), Cote D’Ivoire is a pretty interesting country.

The first one is a ball(with our flag) because soccer is the most important important sport there(By the way the 3rd picture shows our team after the final of the C.A.F, and guess what? WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS OF AFRICA!!!) but this does not apply not me because I love Basketball. Do you know DIDIER DROGBA?? If not look at this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kVivcFGLYuA

Also, it is situated in West Africa and the BEAUTIFUL landscape is just an overview of what The Ivory Coast(Cote D’Ivoire(official name) in English), looks like. Aaahhhh this reminds me when I…….. Better not to say it.

FOOOOOOOD! You can not imagine how this is GOOD!! The name “GARBA” but this one is a variable of the original one and BETTER!! Aaaahhhhhh this reminds me when me and my………. Better not to say it.

The traditional dance?? It is alled ” The Panther” and danced by a clan named Senoufo. I consider it as the FATHER OF AMERICAN HIP-HOP BREAK DANCE! See by yourself: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NwNUeWLk3RE

Abidjan!! You should see this this place at the end of a year! That is where i lived. This place on the picture is the center of affairs and it is considered as the MANHATTAN OF AFRICA. My alma matter is not far from there. Aaaaahhhh this reminds me my last year in high school when I….. Better no say.

Finally, THE BIGGEST CHURCH OF THE WORLD : LA BASILIQUE NOTRE DAME DE LA PAIX(official name) This place attracts thousands of tourists each year. It is a pretty amazing place!!!! Aaaaah this reminds me when I……. OH no wait, I have never been there!

THANKS
