On Thursday, March 9th, I visited Internship Placement Office. I had no idea before what the Internship was – I immigrated to the USA only few months ago, and everything here is new to me. It turned out, internship is truly important for our future careers.

The girl who was sitting at the front desk literally explained to me every detail. She told me that to get an internship, I needed to submit my resume, Baruch ID and application. Then she gave me the application to fill out.

I was quite impressed when I found out that I can get an internship even if I am a freshman. Also, I want to emphasize the options which are given in application form. First, you can choose what type of internship you are interested in –  paid or unpaid, credit or noncredit, full-time or part-time, and so on. Second, what industry/field you are looking for – accounting, banking, communications, management, or fashion.

In other words, there are loads of opportunities here at Baruch to find various kind of internships. All you need is to visit Internship Office, Weismann Center for International Business at 137 East 25th St., 8th Floor and they will do their best for you.

On Thursday March 3rd 2017, I attended meeting named “Carry the Love’’.  From the very beginning, everything seemed quite well – free food, excellent service and so on.

As I entered the room were that event was held, speaker who was giving her speech attracted me because of her enthusiast presentation skills. Her speech was about the story from Bible in which Jesus raised someone’s daughter from the dead

At first that event, didn’t look so weird until I realized that everything at this event was connected to Jesus. It was a religious meeting and there was nothing mentioned about that in flier.

I think everyone would agree with me that title “Carry the love’’ sounds totally disconnected from any kind of religious affiliation.  In my opinion “Carry the love of Jesus “would be the best title for that meeting.

On Thursday February 16th 2017, I attended Baruch college study abroad fair event and I was amazed what I saw there. Study abroad nowadays is a one of the greatest opportunity that you would ever have. It gives you a chance to get acquainted with new cultures. I think everyone would agrees with me that such kind of experience will increase your employability in our globalized world.
I want to emphasize staff member’s work, they readily answered every single question that we asked. Because of the perfectly organized event, the navigation was extremely easy for me even though I am a freshman. Oh, and by the way, they gave me a candy and it turned my day positively
Finally, I strongly recommend you to go to Study Abroad Information Session, held every Wednesday, to use this chance to lay the foundation for your successful future.
