The name of the event was called ” Exploring Fields in Marketing ” which was held on March 30 2017.  There was a similar one that i went to on the mid oof Feburary which was held by Markers of Baruch. The events were similar which i actually liked. The event talked about the different fieds in marketing. To be honest, my main reason behind going there was for the food. There were guest speakers who were talking about the different types of problems they faced inordered to be in the position they at right now. The thing i liked about the event was meeting new people that were lso interested in marketing. Not everyone’s major was marketing, some people i met, their major was finance, international business, etc. Towards the end, they let us ask questions that they answered for us.

On Thursday March 9th, I had a meeting with my Advisor, Andrew for my FRO 1000 Advisemet. Andrew talked about my Degree works and showed how to register for Pathways,  The meeting was really helpful and I learend alot from it. Before meeting him, I never knew how to or where to go to check my classes or the classes i would be needing in order to graduate. He asked mme about my interest major and then told me the classes i would be needing inorder to get to my needs. I was later aware that mmy major, International Business for The Zicklin School of Business requires me to take a foreign language. After hearing that i pretty much changed my mind to change my major. Then Andrew helped me plan out my classes for my next to future classes so that i would be able to finish most major and minor couses. Also, i was aware of the courses i would need to finish inorder to get in The Zicklin School Of Business.

The aftermath of the meeting was really helpful. I’ve learned how to browse through the Baruch website and where to find the majors and its requirements. I learaned about the experience Andrew had inorder to get into The Zicklin School Of Business. When he helped me plan out my classes for the next two semester, he helped me pick my classes wisely so that i wont be struggling.

On Thursday February 16th 2017, I attended Spoon University General Interest Meeting. Spoon University is a food publication by and for college students. It features recipes, resturant reviews, and personal stories for anyone who loves food. The Co-founder of Spoon University was Sarah Adler and Mackenzie Barth, but the program started 2 years ago in Baruch. There was mozzarella sticks, veggie pring rolls, chicken fingers, and pizza served. The meeting started off with an introduction of why people love food. This program benefits people in variety of ways like getting contacts with the resturant owners and getting discounts.

The  meeting was for any students who are interested to fill in positions as treasurer, secretary, writers, photographers, videographers, and marketers. The position for the treasurer is to manage the financial assets and know when to spend what. The secretarys job is to know if the other people are doing the right thing inorder for the program to go well. The photographer and the videographer works together and goes to different places to take pictures and mak videos of different types of food. Along with then the writer will be there to write about whats going on and write recipes. Every month, the job of the writer is to publish atleast 2 stories. Lastely, the marketers job is to publish videos, recipes,  or any food related stories online, and their goals is to make it go viral.
