Stocks to Watch on Dec 04: CFNL, FB, MET, JEF, PCYC, QIHU

Congratulations to myself. I signaled my followers on a upcoming depreciation on $NFLX prices throughout the weekend on twitter (click here to follow me) and stocktwits. $NFLX dropped more than 5% today.

Cardinal Financial Corp (NASDAQ: CFNL) Broke its pennant today, which is a signal of trend continuation. I have a ST target of $16.21. Slow STO just left oversold level and MACD is upticking.

Facebook, Inc (NASDAQ: FB) filled the gap made on July yesterday. We have seen some correction today; however, as long as it is closing above $27.00, I am still bullish on this stock.

Jefferies Group, Inc. (NYSE: JEF) has made a new high today. I do not have a target for now but the chart is definitely bullish. JEF has a 1.02x Price/Book and 15x P/E ratio. Quite a stock with value.

Metlife, Inc. (NYSE: MET) is trading around 200 and 50 day moving averages with a quote neutral level of CMF and RSI. Look for a move above $33.70 as entry.

Pharmacyclics, Inc (NASDAQ: PCYC) has just crossed above its ascending triangle pattern, testing to fill the gap. Assuming the uptrend continues tomorrow, I have a short term target of $59.00.

QIHOO 360 Techniclogy Co. Ltd. (NYSE: QIHU) has gained massive momentum with volume after breaking the $25.00 resistance level. CMF & MACD accelerating.

Stocks to Watch on Nov 15: IDCC, AAPL, FB

I am currently studying for CFA Level I Exam on Dec 1. Starting from tomorrow, I will pick only 2-3 stocks per blog entry. Shorter description may also be expected.

Facebook, Inc (NASDAQ: FB) has rise 12/19%, closing at $22.28. MACD is making bullish crossover. Slow STO is ticking up after showing oversold signal. I look for more action, at least somewhere around 100day moving average.

InterDigital, Inc (NASDAQ: IDCC) told you on a upcoming pullback on Nov 09. I am expecting action downwards until reaching 50day MA. However, the uptrend of this stock still enacts. Mind for bearish MACD crossover.

Apple, Inc (NASDAQ: AAPL) everyone knows Apple has a great fundamentals. However, there is no idea when the recent downtrend is going to end. 50day and 200day moving average is turning around, pointing downwards. The closing price is slightly away from Lower BB, but that’s not enough. Bearish flag is forming on charts and if broken, my next target is $480.

Oct 24: GRPN, ONVO, APP, FB, YELP, ASPS

  • American Apparel Inc. (AMEX: APP) have definitely have found some support from $1.10 level. $1.10 has been resistance two times in the past. Now turning to a support is a bullish sign for APP.
  • RSI might be turning around.
  • Giving the $1.10 strong support, any appreciation could be meaningful to this stock. However, for safer play, you can entry at $1.25. which is above 50 day moving average.

  • Atisource Portfolio Solution S.A. (NASDAQ: ASPS) broke out from the rectangle pattern with heavy volume, closing at $124.33
  • Today’s high just about touched upper Bband (Bullish signal)
  • MACD turning positive
  • Slow STO and RSI at high level, signaling this stock might undergo some consolidation (horizontal move) or correction.

  • Facebook, Inc (NASDAQ: FB) Needless to tell you about its earning and active users growth. One beating report does not mean its business model is sustainable. But it could be a start. I am still very skeptical on Facebook stock with PE ratio higher than 70 times
  • However, Technical, today’s move could be quite bullish. Touching upper Bband, STO. RSI turning around, as well as MACD crossover

  • Groupon, Inc (NASDAQ: GRPN) is still dropping after today’s rally on internet stocks. I don’t see much signal from the chart besides bearish ones. My positions stopped out days ago after crossing below 50day MA.

  • Organovo Holdings, Inc (ONVO) Pretty much a roller coaster stock. Its book of business is similar to DDD, SSYS. Fundmental prationers can do comparable analysis on their financials.
  • Technically. RSI shows some support on 50 level. Slow STO is making higher lows and higher highs. After the job from $2.00 to $3.39. the stock now closing at $2.44 after today jump for 2.52%. I am looking this stock to trade sideway or within a range within the coming weeks
  • Yelp, Inc (NYSE: YELP) failed to break out the consolidation pattern from above. The stock today jumped 7.38%. I would not have caught my attention until today’s jump.
  • Today’s jump shows YELP has found strong support from 33% Fibonancci Retracement level. Here is the calculations: (High-Low)/ Previous Low =(29.48-23.72)/17.5 = 32.7%. Pretty precise. I am looking forward to seeing more upward price movement in the coming weeks.
  • RSI ticking up. Slow STO shows oversold signal.

Sept 27: IDCC, FB, LGF

InterDigital, Inc (NASDAQ: IDCC) I want to cover on IDCC  again because I am highly bullish on this stock. There is a run with significantly higher volume after the announcement that it is added to S&P400. Chaikin Money Flow Index turned positive. MACD is about to have a positive crossover, 50day MA is about to crossed 200day MA from below, which some consider a golden cross. The price touches upper band of B-Band again. On Balance Volume confirms the move. RSI is making higher lows and hold well above 50.

Fundamentally, stock managers, ETFs will need to purchase a great amount of the stock to balance/track the index (SP400).

According to Bloomberg, IDCC major customers include Samsung (37% of rev), RIMM (17%), HTC Corp (11%), AAPL (4.38%), Hitachi (3.48%), Quanta Computer (2.80%) and Ericsson (1%). Focus: SAMSUNG!!

Liongate Entertainment Corp (NYSE:LGF) We are looking at a longer term chart here, a weekly candlestick. After the bloom due to strong box office of Hunger Game in March, LGF has been forming a “cup and handle” chart with a neckline of $16. However, On Balance Volume is not confirming the price. However, breakout of $16 would make the stock a good candidate to trade with.

Facebook, Inc (NASDAQ: FB) It is showing a textbook-so-called “possible” head and shoulder pattern with a neckline around $23.5 here. While MACD remains positive and OBV confirming, the price has found supper from 20day SMA after double the upper band of Bollinger band. With the fact that it is still trading below 50day SMA and the hard-to-prove fundamentals and business models of Facebook, I would suggest trading it after the breakout. Without a breakout, the pattern, at least “possible” pattern, means nothing at all.
