Stocks to Watch on 12/10: M. QQQ, SPY, WFC
Macy’s Inc. (NYSE: M) has experienced some strong action in the previous trading week. OBV is upticking quickly yet the prices seem not following accordingly, not enough for the least. Friday’s close was back above its mid-term uptrend (since Aug). Some acceleration on MA(50) & MA(200). I think the uptrend still enacts and I have a short term target of $42.00 on Macy’s.
NASDAQ QQQ: moved lower this week amid weakness and concerns on Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) – the largest and most influential component of NASDAQ index. The index is now trading below its 50-day MA, as well as 200 day’s. Death cross is about to hit QQQ, signalING a shift to a bear market. For those who are bullish, watch for a breakout above both MAs with huge volume. For those who are bearish, watch for a breakdown below the key support level around $64.30. If it breaks below, I have a ST target of $62.00.
S&P 500 ETF (NYSE: SPY) moved slightly higher than last week. Friday’s close was briefly above 50-day MA. OBV is back to the level where we experienced high index level (Index: 1460-1470 or $146-$147). Next support: $137.97. Next resistance: $147. As we are in the middle between next support and next resistance, the coming trading week is very important to the market outlook. Bulls: watch for prices sustaining above 50day MA or a break above $143. Bears: watch for break below 50day MA with high volume.
Wells Fargo & Co. (NYSE: WFC) roughly breaks its ascending triangle (this time, I connected closing prices instead of high and lows) with relatively low volume. Bbands are widening and pointing up. I think breaking above last major support $33.35 could trigger even more upwards action.

STOCKS TO WATCH DEC 07: MRVL, NOK, WMT, XOM, AAPL
Labels: AAPL, MRVL, NOK, WMT, XOM
Marvell Technology Group, Ltd. (NASDAQ: MRVL) has fully filled its recent gap today. From the peak in volume at previous two troughs, it could be a double bottom pattern fully formed, signaling a trend reversal. Prices crossed the bottoming MA(50) as well. Watch for tomorrow’s move. If trend continues, my short term target is $9.50, then $10.00.
Nokia Corp. (NYSE: NOK) dropped 3.35% today, however, holds well above the neckline of the breakout yesterday. MA(50) is recovering and MA(200) seems bottoming + watch for golden cross. As long as NOK closes above $3.60, I am bullish on this stock.
Wal-Mart Stores, Inc (NYSE: WMT) shows Elliot Wave pattern on chart. Despite of the recent uptrend with gap filled, OBV is not recovering much (negative divergence). The recent closes, including a inverted hammer and doji, shows the recent uptrend is revering, sending the stock into Wave C. Under E Wave theory, Wave C is the longest, with biggest drop and volumes. I think similar action is happening on AAPL as mentioned in yesterday’s post.
Exxon Mobil Corp. (NYSE: XOM) another mega-cap stock I wish to cover as it is also showing Elliot Wave pattern on chart. Situation is basically same with AAPL and WMT above, except it seems Wave C has not started yet. Also, MA(50) and MA(200) is not looking good at all. They are both downward trending. So, put this on your radar. I think a big drop is coming soon.

Apple, Inc (NASDAQ: AAPL) breaks below its ascending triangle, reversing its uptrend, as I mentioned yesterday on my blog. http://stks.co/mG4T. Today, it falls 6.43% and another half percent during after hours. MACD is falling quickly and will soon be having a bearish cross. CMF is falling again. The picture on Apple is not nice. I shorted AAPL today. I have a target of $500 by the end of this week.
New Oriental Education (NYSE: EDU) has almost filled all of its gap after its accouting scandal. By the look of the huge drop in two days, touching lower Bband with low readings on RSI and Slow STO. Although I think this stock is due for some correction. I am nothing saying the uptrend still enacts, prices touching lower bband can consider as a BUY signal (by textbooks)
InterDigital, Inc (NASDAQ: IDCC) breaks above $44.00 today. 200 day moving average seem to come to a saucer bottom. MACD and CMF are holding up pretty well.
S&P 500 (NYSE: SPY) This is my first time covering technical analysis on stock index because today’s move is very interesting and bullish on chart. Today’s low hits $140.00 (or Index:1400) yet closing slightly above yesterday open/close. Resistance is found under 50 day moving average but it seems like SPY is making higher lows. After all, I am bullish on stocks towards to the end of 2012.
Nokia Corp. (NYSE: NOK) raised 12.79% today with huge volume and 2% more in after-hours. 200 day moving average might be bottoming. MACD is ticking up. Faster moving average crossing slower from below could trigger another buying power. But I think NOK is due for some correction, as this stock rarely stays over 70 on RSI for longer than 2 days.

STOCKS TO WATCH ON DEC 05: FSLR, NFLX, P, DDD, AAPL
Labels: AAPL, DDD, FSLR, NFLX, P
First Solar, Inc (NASDAQ: FSLR) does not only break above its ascending triangle pattern, finding great supports from 50 day moving average. it has also make a new 52w new high today with decent volume.
Netflix (NASDAQ: NFLX) I commented about a possible short squeeze on twitter yesterday but I did not expect such a huge run like NFLX did today. I was expecting the squeeze ends around $85.00. I guess the market sentiment on NFLX is really bullish, at least for now. From the chart it shows me today, recovering MACD & MA(50) coming close to MA(200), I think the stock definitely has the potential to hit $100 in a short while. Unless tomorrow actions is bearish and closes below $85 significantly, then it might signal volatility in this stock and market uncertainty on NFLX.
Pandora Media, Inc. (NYSE: P) is a possible bottom play. This could be a inverted head and shoulder forming.
3D Systems Corp. (NYSE: DDD) again follows the channel and shows some bullish action today. I look forward to this stock hitting above $50 in the coming 2 weeks.
Apple, Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) shows a bearish signal on chart as it breaks below the ascending triangle, despite a bullish breakout of a triangle happened last week. I think AAPL would drop appx. another 1.5% tomorrow.

Stocks to Watch on Dec 03: AMD, BAC, CLWR, IDCC, TLAB
Stocks to Watch on Dec 03: AMD, BAC, CLWR, IDCC, TLAB
Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (NYSE: AMD) slowing the downtrend. Looks good on MACD. Watch for big action as price touches upper Bband with bands widening.
Bank of America (NYSE: BAC) moves follows the channel well. BAC also outperforms other banks’ stocks, such as JPM, C, etc. CMF is recovering. It finds some great support from 50 day moving average. OMV is moving up quickly with very little price appreciation. BAC is on my radar.
Clearwire Corp (NASDAQ: CLWR) broke its ascending triangle on Friday. ATR is upticking, Bband is widening with price closing above its upper band. Bullish Slow STO signal. I look forward to more price appreciation throughout the coming trading week.
InterDigital, Inc. (NASDAQ: IDCC) is closing around its recent high. Watch for a breakout above $43.09 for entry.
Tellabs, Inc. (NASDAQ: TLAB) I got some luck on this stock. I posted my bullish view on this stock on my Wednesday Nov 28’s post, but I did not expect a huge price appreciation that huge and quick. CEO is trying to boost its stock price by paying a $1 special dividend. According bird-in-hand theory, this stock should rise $1 above its price before the price on dividend declaration date, which would be around $3.80 (adding from previous day’s close) I still long this stock.
