The Hybrid Course:
This is a blended or hybrid course, and for our section of English 2850 this means we will be meeting 50% in the classroom (every Tuesday, face-to-face) and 50% online. Specific online assignments are due asynchronously by Friday, 12pm noon, of each week. Please be aware that attendance is mandatory for both our physical and online meetings. Students must have reliable permanent off-campus Internet access and a general technical literacy. We will discuss the navigation of Blogs@Baruch during our first physical class meeting. Questions? Contact the instructor: [email protected]
NOTE: To participate in this course, and to respond to all online assignments, you will need to make sure I have your Baruch email. The system will only allow a Baruch email.
By Tuesday, Jan. 31st, you will need to have:
- Bought/rented the PRINT edition Norton Anthology of World Literature, Volumes D, E, F (Packet 2) 3rd, edition. Please note, it must be the 3rd edition, not the 2nd, and it must be the print edition, as no digital copies will be accepted (sorry).
- Made sure I have your Baruch email.
- Familiarized yourself with both this site and our Blackboard site.
Check CUNYfirst (or our syllabus, found on this blog site) for classroom assignment and textbook requirements.
I look forward to a fun semester, and to meeting all of you,
Jeanne Stauffer-Merle
