- The role of women in “The Life of Sensuous Women” shows how women were belittled and used their beauty to ultimately get what they want. Women during the Edo period desired love and acceptance therefore they weren’t respected.
- Women were no more than prized objects in “The Life of Sensuous Women”. Sex and pleasure seemed to be the way of life for them. Women were primarily served for a man’s needs, ignoring their own wants and needs.
