i also picked your first quote Because I felt Strindberg portrayed her as a strong woman and I also agree with you when you said that during this time women weren’t viewed as strong or as equal to men. It was an interesting point and i also pointed that out in my post. Your second quote shows how she wants a man to control her versus the first quote where she was the one controlling the man. It’s quite a contradiction. She begins with wanting control and being dominant and towards the end she becomes vulnerable and wanting a males dominance.
