you need to further elaborate in the first thesis.Why was its the norm that women had to cater to any mans need. You can use external references and ask why it has become this way for women through out centuries.

I like both of your thesis statements because it has a great focus. Also, people can either agree or disagree to those statements. Both of the statements actually relate to that specific article.

Your second is much more focused, and you need to just include the character/s (not more than two) than you will be discussing. Also, both “objectification” and “slut-shaming”, although colorful words, are actually rather general, so try to think of something more specific.
