  1. In Feng Menglong’s narrative, “Du Tenth Sinks the Jewel Box in Anger,” the emphasis placed on money and power is varies greatly between Du Tenth and Li Jia and that difference eventually resulted in Li Jia’s betrayal that left Du Tenth heartbroken.
  2. In Feng Menglong’s narrative, “Du Tenth Sinks the Jewel Box in Anger”, severe tensions between the value systems adhered to by Du Tenth and Li Jia ultimately led to the downfall of their romantic relationship as a result of Du Tenth’s blinded attachment to love and Li Jia’s allegiance to money and power.

    1) I like this a lot and completely agree with you in the way that this play emphasis’s on how people believe that money is at such a great importance while love and anything else are at no comparison.
    2) Good job, this explains perfectly that they are both very different people and should never been together to begin with. A great quote would be from the old guy, at the end, saying that Du Tenth was to good for him.

    You have some good observations here, but neither statement includes an interpretive element, and that is why the author choosing to focus on the issue you’re are discussing. You need to include this in both your thesis and essay as a whole, so that your writing will get to a certain level of depth.
