Hi, I like the focus of your thesis, as it surrounds the problem of money. I just wonder if money was the real problem of their relationship. Was it not the trust that was lost because Li Jia mostly thought of himself the whole time? Du Tenth never seemed to care about money, just a thought!

I believe your thesis statements are abit too open but the topic is great . Maybe another sentence or two to describe what you really want to focus on

I believe you should combine both are your thesis statement since both of them involves money. You should might want to focus on the relationship between Li Jia and Du Tenth.

Yes, both statements are really very broad. You need to think about how to focus them more specifically. Your first is the most focused, though, and if you think about which characters (not more than two) you would use to discuss this and how those characters generally fit into this statement, then I think you’ll have a solid thesis.
