Do you see any similarity in how Monkey and Bartleby changed their behavior? Why do you think they changed or why do you think they did not change?

Monkey from Journey to the West and the narrator from The Life of a Sensuous Woman both go through the heroic journey even though their journeys are different. Compare the two journeys that explains their story as well as the common theme they may share.

Joaquin’s question is fair to ask. In both stories one can see that from the beginning to the end of the story, these characters, Monkey and Bartleby started from a different view. The writer can either point out that they’ve changed or not. This is a good question to ask, it seeks answer from both of the stories. This is a good topic question because the writer can go in depth on on each of the character’s journey, struggle, and compare their behavior from the beginning to end.
