Wanting to be skinny or attractive is only one aspect of eating disorders. Eating disorders are physical illnesses that take control of a person’s thoughts and behavior, resulting in a constant mental struggle that eventually renders them insane. I usually use symbolism to illustrate Bulimia Nervosa in creative works. I will use the two animals to represent the ongoing struggle that consumes your mind when coping with this sickness, using inspiration from one of Aseops’ most well-known fables, “The Lion and The Mouse.”

Given that I have struggled with bulimia nervosa for the better part of my life, this subject is very significant to me. By including personal tales presented from the lion and mouse’s points of view, I will add a special viewpoint to this tale. Out of all mental diseases, eating disorders have the greatest mortality rate. I want to dispel the stigma associated with eating disorders as a “luxury” and give readers a glimpse into the thoughts of someone who has genuinely struggled with this fatal condition.
