Polycarbonate Lenses

Lacking the ability to move freely
I felt like I was incarcerated.
Couldnt run, couldnt shoot
without fixing the glasses.

I would run the point
but would fumble the ball, and there it was.
Turnover.

I would drive in to the lane,
drew a little contact, glasses slipped
and then again,
Turnover.

Took a while to pass the ball.
Glasses slipped. And there it was,
another Turnover.
My grandma could play better than me
without even being sober.
I wanted to be the best
but these glasses kept me from being HOVA.

Finally got me some lenses
didnt have to tell the bench no more, to move over.
Completed my game, got my eyewear exchanged,
added a bit of fame, and it hasnt ever been the same

without my Polycarbonate lenses.
