Between silences

Once I have the freedom not to choose overload

My ambition tells no way

Since nothing is so common as a wish

to be remarkable

Life become painful but joyful

But I will be silenced.

The submerging dig-in and the absorption on the trains

ever overwhelm all my leisure time

How can I think about Kabuki and Phontom of the Opera?

Liar! Liar!

Stop lying.
I watch “Lie to Me”
and I know you.
I know you lie
To me
All the freaking time.
Ugh!
You’re a liar.
997 billion dollars in corporate fraud…
Ain’t got nothing on you
Lies compromise our democracy
Henry Oberlander could have undermined the whole British banking system
He said: Everybody is ready to give you something that you’re hungry for.
I wish I was better…taller….good looking.
Lying is backing up fulfilling our fantasies…
Bruno mars…”Just the Way You Are”….
Really?
You sing that I will smack you
Men lie 8 times more about themselves about themselves than other people.
I want you to lie to me…
Tell me you love my messy hair in the morning…
Tell me I look beautiful no matter what when I’m sick
Go on…lie to me.
Koko the Gorilla blamed her pet kitten for ripping a sink out of the wall…
Babies fake a cry, pause and then cry when someone’s near
We’re all masters of deceit
That’s why I wear my fake RayBans…
“I did not have sexual relations with that woman. Miss Lewinsky. I never told anybody to lie. Not a single time. Never.
These allegations are false. And I need to go back to work for the American people.”
Famous words.
Distancing language, arched eyebrows, too much detail, all dead giveaways
Freud: no mortal can keep a secret. If his lips are silent, he chatters with his fingertips
Smiles, too strong an eye contact, warmth, all giveaways
I know you.
Lie to me
Hmph.

A Place

When I’m on the train crossing the bridge, I always see these new apartments with the big windows. The type of window that is actually like a wall where if you want, you can get all creepy and look inside to see the apartment. Seeing these apartments make me happy because I can see myself in one of them one day. It’s not that I want to live exactly there ,but just the idea of having my own place. I don’t have a dream home; I just want a home that I can call my own.  I want to create my home from scratch. I want a place where I rule, not my parents. A place that I can decorate in any way I want. A place that offers stability because I know it’s mine. A place that I know will always be there. A place that I never want to leave. I love my home now, but it’s the idea of growing up and having my space in addition to having the option of sharing it with whoever I want. But before I start thinking about the way my home might look I should start with getting my own room. I’ve never had my own room in my 18 years of life which is probably why I dream about my future home so much. It’s go big or go home (haha get it?) but yeah instead of aiming for a room, I might as well aim for a house. lol Of course I would settle for a room to myself for now.

Gadgets

I was really excited when the Kindle Fire was announced at the end of October. I am a Geek and I love electronics. I spend a fair amount of time reading Tech News, watching reviews or even do my own every day. Smartphones, ereaders, tablets… they are always in my mind.

Gadgets are becoming more and more important in our daily. I would say in the near future, as many visionaries have indicated, many things like paper books, would be replaced by gadgets. That’s to say, gadgets have a profound market. Therefore, to develop a phenomenal gadget is very likely to earn you some sweet money. However, the fact is that, I couldn’t find a gadget, whatever they are smartphones, ereaders or tablet that satisfy me.

I especially want to talk about the Kindle Fire today as it finally starts to ship and got its review on engadget.com. I’ve done a research about the Kindle Fire in my business class and I should be considered as an expert about this topic.

In terms of marketing practice, the Fire has done a really good job for the company itself. As far as the contents are concerned, its well-developed ecosystem has given the Fire the competence even to the high-end market like the Ipad 2. In addition, it completely rules the low end tablet market. It wouldn’t be the Ipad killer soon but it is going to be the low-end tablets killer with no doubt. Its market influence is huge.

However, from a view as a Geek and an end user, the Fire really disappoints me. I am a big fan of Android and the reason is that I can rule the system by myself. It is more productive even than the IOS, which is not open source. Even though the Fire is running Android, but it is locked like the IOS. I can understand from the company’s aspect but not from an end user. Being locked means you can’t install the apps from third parties unless you jailbreak it. There’s no doubt that the jailbreak is coming soon, hopefully immediately after the developer receive it, but jailbreaking is a pain.

Apple or Android fans, what do you think?

Equality for all

On October 18, 2011 there was a protest outside of Union Township High School in Union NJ against the Facebook comments coming from one of the teacher named Viki Knox. Her Facebook comments consist of saying that being gay is “perverted” and “a sin”. She also compared it to cancer. The article can be viewed at the bottom. However, during the protest there was a big discussion in which questions if we really do have freedom of speech when it comes to posting comments on one’s Facebook. I believe a teacher should still be cautious on what she writes on her page or better yet keep her comments private from the rest of the people on Facebook. Unfortunately, she didn’t do that and one teacher confronted the principal to look into this. One of my friends was in the protest and spoke during the board meeting saying that she doesn’t feel safe in school anymore because of that, and feels a bit threaten now. A student shouldn’t feel threaten nor feel uncomfortable when going to school because a school’s environment should be safe for all not just for a certain group of people. I feel safe in Baruch college and I am glad I do because I don’t want to spend the rest of my 4 or 5 years studying at a institution that I constantly feel unsafe at.

Please help the Garden State Equality get the Township of Union board of education do the right thing for the students who attend Union High School.

the government puts flurioude in nearly every beverage including bottled and tap water, it flurioude destroys our pineal gland which is the only part of the body which isnt symmetrical from left to right, since we raised in a society which implements it into all of our water it is embedded into our body and blood. flurioude calcifies the pineal gland making it older and weaker much faster than it should normally, very interesting read the only way to reverse this is to consume only distilled water flurioude free toothpaste etc. can you adapt to this kind of lifestyle in order to save ur body from calcification?

Polycarbonate Lenses

Lacking the ability to move freely
I felt like I was incarcerated.
Couldnt run, couldnt shoot
without fixing the glasses.

I would run the point
but would fumble the ball, and there it was.
Turnover.

I would drive in to the lane,
drew a little contact, glasses slipped
and then again,
Turnover.

Took a while to pass the ball.
Glasses slipped. And there it was,
another Turnover.
My grandma could play better than me
without even being sober.
I wanted to be the best
but these glasses kept me from being HOVA.

Finally got me some lenses
didnt have to tell the bench no more, to move over.
Completed my game, got my eyewear exchanged,
added a bit of fame, and it hasnt ever been the same

without my Polycarbonate lenses.

Good mirrors are not cheap

Good mirrors are not cheap

We should not hate our reflectors
Or what it reflects
We should stop hating
That which it shows
But don’t let anyone see
Invisible
Look in your self
Your face
Under scrutiny
And all the faults you see
Turning
Into your self image
See your beauty
See the lies in the mirror
Destroy the reflector
Feel good
Become new

Also when you do this
Look around
People are happy
They all made their own mirrors
Showing us
Parading them
Happily

Contact Lenses

Curiosity to see the world clearer

urge my eyes to change

I wasn’t so sure

at that time

Once I grew up a bit

and my eyes developed little sick

making it an excuse to live behind

thick walls of glass as a steady fellow

Seeing clearer and farther, as I make it, brings

unexpectedly with lies, betray, violence, corruption,

and even despairs,

huge amount of the dirty and the ugly.

Now my eyes have became

hurts and desired to

going back.

Change did happen,

but I am sure as a steady fellow

I need some blur to move on.

Contact Lenses

Blind from the truth around me

I was deceived

Because everyone lied to me

Thought I knew all there is needed to know

But its in dark in this room

It makes it harder to see

Yet the truth is now

Shining in this dark abyss

Which makes it easier to see

As I shed a tear from disbelief

I am relieved I am now aware

No longer will I live a life of despair

Now I can understand using all my senses

And all I needed to do was put on my contact lenses
