When the care taker neglects their child, it is probably because they were also neglected as a kid. They are passing down generational trauma. There are also many other reasons such as not being financially stable. This creates unstable homes for the children. Sometimes, the caregivers are just traumatized themselves and take it out on their kids. The kids have to go through so much mental issues.
Effects of Child Emotional Abuse and Neglect
Emotional abuses and neglect can cause you to have lower self esteem. You feel like you have lost yourself. You don’t feel the same anymore. You have a lot of social anxiety and people will think it’s no big deal but in your perspective, it is a huge deal. It can lead to you hating yourself. It causes you not to trust anyone and you feel so alone. You can still be around people like when you go to school or work but truly feel so alone inside. When you are socializing with other people, you constantly think about what other people are thinking of you and then you fall into the thinking trap.
Things that occur later on
It saddens the world to see young girls and boys commit suicide because of the way they were emotionally abused by their caregivers. This can be a tough topic to talk about with children who were emotionally abused or neglected. Talking about their trauma would cause them to have sudden outbursts or they would start tearing up. It’s unpredictable what they would do. A solution for someone who is extremely emotionally abused and neglected would be therapy. There are many forms and types of therapy and they would first try Psychotherapy. This is a small step they can take to overcome their trauma. Children who are emotionally abused and neglected don’t feel connected to other people. They feel like they are alone all the time. I see the different types of abuse that anyone can face. When you are a child and enduring that type of treatment, you wouldn’t know how to respond to it or even stop it. You are a kid and you are relying on your parents or guardians so you wouldn’t want to cause more damage. In a case like this, if a kid did decided to say something, the guardian or parents will say things like you have these things because of me, but in all honesty, as a parent or guardian, it’s your duty to care for the child, by feeding them and giving them a roof over their heads.

Being alone has some positive side effects on people. Being alone for a long time, do you feel good, or do you hate yourself. This helps people who are feeling lonely and think that it is a bad thing. Being alone can be really fun, you can truly express yourself. By spending time with yourself and gaining a better understanding of who you are and what you desire in life, you’re more likely to make better choices about who you want to be around. I mean how free and honest can you be when no one is watching or judging you. It is fun and people should take advantage of it when they are alone. It helps recharge and make you feel better, especially if you have social anxiety. There are many pros and cons to being alone.
