Pharmaceutical drugs are medications that are used to treat diseases, illnesses and  conditions. Pharmaceutical drugs can be attained through a prescription from a doctor or physician.  It is important that pharmaceutical drugs be used rationally and used according to directions of a doctor. Taking pharmaceuticals for non medical uses can prove to be fatal. They can addictive, slow down breathing, lead to overdose and cause harm to the body when mixed and consumed with alcohol. (NCADD)
