Impeachment of Bill Clinton

On December 19, 1998, President Bill Clinton was impeached by the house of Representative. I think it is important because he was only the second impeachment of a President in American history, following the impeachment of Andrew Johnson in 1868. I think being a president, one should watch out himself’s behavior all the time as being an example of all the Americans.

I very much agree with you Barry. Though I think most people have moved beyond the affair, and still respect Clinton as a well-established intellectual who seeks to make the world a better place through his influence and ideals. I still respect him as a leader and also as a person of character.

The impeachment of Bill Clinton and his affair with Monica Lewinsky are unfortunate events that overshadow a great presidency. When people hear the name Bill Clinton, all they think of is the impeachment and the affair, but he had great accomplishments, including his strong attempt at peace in the Middle East.
