The World Wide Web

This is a video of Sir Tim Berners-Lee at a conference in the Hilton at Kuala Lumpur, discussing the advent and instant popularity of the World Wide Web.  It appears this video was taken in 2007, but it refers back to Sir Tim Berners-Lee’s inventing of the WWW in 1989.

I don’t believe it is necessary to explain why the World Wide Web is important to the world as we know it.  The WWW made information universally accessible, allowed information sharing, and created an eventual expansion of communication.

The Internet was, is and will be the greatest human invention of all times. On the World Wide Web anyone can find detailed information about anything they can think of. The best part of it is that it only takes a few seconds to find the answer to a question that would otherwise take hours, days, months or even years.

WWW is a history to the world since it is invented. So now we can communicate through and share lots of information. I thank god to be here now in this world because I can’t even live one day without web!!!

I would also say that there’s no doubt that the creation of WWW has made our lives so much easier in so many different ways. Now, it just became a part of our lievs that sometimes we don’t even fully appreciate it; but thinking of our lives if WWW hadn’t been invented, I’m pretty sure that most of the technological inventions that we have right now wouldn’t even exist.
