The “Titanic” tragedy should teach all of us not to belive so blindly contempoary tecnology. If somebody stating that he built “unsinkable” ship we still have to question the safety, because safety always comes first. Unfortunatly, “Titanic” story repeated again in 2001 in WTC tragedy, when a lot of people never left their offices and try to evacuate, because they simply didn’t believe that the building can collapse. “Titanic” didn’t have enough boats, and WTC emergency evacuation staircases were built with huge violation of building fire codes of New York City.

RMS Titanic was built in Belfast, Ireland by Haraland and Wolff, but it was ordered by White Star Line from Liverpool, England. From what I know Canadian and British ships rushed to help shipwreckers.

This was deadliest event happened in 1912. This was most convenient travelling method, due to the best technology available in that century. I still wonder why such accident happened regardless of warnings and other facilities.

I think that the “Titanic” shipwreck was the deadliest accident throughout the twentieth century . More lives would have been saved ,had the giant boat had hundreds of lifeboats available instead of twenty lifeboats.I wonder whether the families of victims had filed some law suites against the compagny that owned the “Titanic” ?

I first knew this historical event when i watched the movie “Titanic” about ten years ago. Relating to American history, do you know if all the survivors were rescued by Americans and was the Titanic ship built in America?
