Bill Clinton helping Haiti
I liked this pictures because show us how some people are and will be a great leaders forever. This picture made me think about the sensitivity of some people. The Haitians will have Bill Clinton in their hearts forever. I ask me self maybe if Clinton was another person, maybe he was playing golf, but Thanks God it was Bill Clinton.

I think that Michael Jackson is certainly very important for the American History. He was born in the time of intense segregation in USA, during Jiw Crow Law, but he made his way up to conquer the world. Michal Jackson broke all cultures and racial barrier. Who doesn’t love Michael Jackson? The world will miss this amazing talent African American forever.
This music was introduced in 1991 and released in 1993 with other hits like “Black or White”.

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, 787 billion plan
The video shows Barack Obama signing the Recovery Act, an economic stimulus package.
This bill was signed into law on February 17 by President Obama at an economic forum he was hosting in Denver, Colorado.
The main goal of the Act was to bring the country back from recession on a path of recovery; the Act was intended to create jobs and promote consumer spending and investment. It also included federal tax cuts, expansion of unemployment benefits as well as domestic spending in education, health care and infrastructure.
I consider this Act a huge attempt made by the Government to recover the economics of the US, and according to various reports, the stimulus saved about 1.7 million jobs.

9/11 and requirements for Muslim immigrants in U.S.A
http://www.gettyimages.com/detail/2737827/Getty-Images-News
Photo: Mario Tama/Getty Images (Nov 17, 2003)
From the image website, I found that Suman Raghunathan, of the New York Immigration Coalition, yells during a protest marking the anniversary of the Immigration and Naturalization Service’s special registration program November 17, 2003 in New York City. The post-9/11 program requires men from mostly Arab and Muslim countries to register with the government. In addition, 13,000 Arab and Muslim immigrants face deportation proceedings as a result of the program.
The image is representing the 9/11 effect in the American society. Because of the 9/11 fact, the government officials seem that the Muslim community is the outsider in this country and they need special requirement or commitment to become a citizen or become a legal resident in U.S.A.

2008 Economic breakdown
Recent crisis begun in the USA early fall of 2008, but the first warning we got when Lehman Brothers declared bankruptcy. In the fall of 2008 most of big financial institution experienced huge financial problems. Many small banks bankrupted, but large institutions like Bank of America, or City Bank needed help in from of bailouts. All these problems were caused by too loose credit policy. Banks were giving credits very easily to people who weren’t able to pay them of.
I’m attaching a link to a website with several articles about crisis where you can also find a short movie which in a interesting way illustrates the reasons of crisis.

Although it’s gotten a little better we still see people struggling with the consequences of the whole economic situation. I hope people take this lesson and we will never have to experience anything like this again.
